It turns out there are secret button pushes to change equalizer modes on this thing:

hit volume up and phone simultaneously to cycle between 3 treble modes,

hit volume down and bluetooth simultaneously to cycle base modes in a similar fashion

It's still showing full price for me despite trying 2 different browsers...it's clearly marked as full price in my Cart at Checkout unfortunately.

Very happy with the quality of the sound, but I am not sure it is 4 times as loud as my HK Invoke, which is listed as being 40 watts RMS. This is supposed to be 160 watts RMS and it is not much louder than my Invoke.
How loud is yours?

I just received mine and I love it! My parents were asking for a JBL boombox 3 but I might get this instead since it's a lot cheaper. Anyone able to compare this with the JBL boombox 3? That one is like $500 at Costco. Just comparing sound quality the JBL has 180 watts RMS and this is 160 Watts RMS.

I was told by customer service the speaker can be used while plugged in. She didn't say anything about the battery except it is not replaceable when it eventually wears out. It might be possible but at a repair shop.
