(Totally guessing...) but it feels like the reps get bonused on the new accounts they sign up. So if you find the right rep, they'll have you cancel your current plan, then start on the new plan, and that rep would get the credit.
And don't ever feel like you're screwing over Comcast. I had Comcast Business for 1Gig for 2 years at $100 per month. The DAY that it ended, they jacked me up to $300 per month. I didn't notice it for 2 months. Once I did, I switched to regular Comcast for 900MB for $60. If I didn't cancel, they would have happily charged me $300/mo for my service I'm now getting for $60.
If they're offering it...you deserve it. Good luck!
Any tips/tricks?

Do I need to call and have them cancel the 'old' account now or just wait it out???? I knew I'd screw something up doing it this way not knowing what I was doing....
hmm... now it seems someone with broken English called from Comcast and left a messge something about facilitating the transfer..... but couldn't quite tell... anyone else get this doing the 'move' ???

edited - ok. seems old account still activated......and cancel date is 3/14.....so, real question is come 3/14, do I have to do anything with existing modem (ie, power cycle, add via app), or will it automatically switch over to new account???????????? time will tell if all this trouble will be worth it :/
If you BYO modem, the $45/month for 24 months @400mbps you can stack with 2 lines of unlimited phone on xfinity mobile for $60 minus another $45 off essentially making the internet free and you can get 2 free Pixel 8 with number transfer

Basically, 2 lines are cheaper than getting 1 line.

I do have their cable also. Has anyone figured out how to still use their X1 cable system with T-Mobile Internet?!
