The spouse/partner trick is unnecessary. Just sign up as though you are moving to your own address. I did it again yesterday and it worked the same as a year ago. Go to Xfinity.com (while NOT signed in) > Internet Deals. Enter address and it will recognize you have service there. Ignore the buttons for signing in or transferring service. Instead choose the option for new customer. Click through the plans and get your cart all tidy. Eventually you will come to a page asking you to either create an Xfinity ID or log into an existing; choose existing. It will even let you keep your autopay bank account the same. Shortly after submitting, you'll see a pending cancellation email and a thank you for your new order. Later (or in my case the next (this) morning), another email will give the cancellation date (several weeks out for me). Once the new modem arrives (if you chose one, which I did in order to get the $10 XFi complete), activate the new modem under the new account and it will automatically cancel your prior account at the same time. There will be some final prorations on the old account, and the new account will also have the opposite.

I'm guessing it's the same, age old trick with Comcast: if you don't get the answer you want from the rep you're talking to....try, try again.

(Totally guessing...) but it feels like the reps get bonused on the new accounts they sign up. So if you find the right rep, they'll have you cancel your current plan, then start on the new plan, and that rep would get the credit.

And don't ever feel like you're screwing over Comcast. I had Comcast Business for 1Gig for 2 years at $100 per month. The DAY that it ended, they jacked me up to $300 per month. I didn't notice it for 2 months. Once I did, I switched to regular Comcast for 900MB for $60. If I didn't cancel, they would have happily charged me $300/mo for my service I'm now getting for $60.

If they're offering it...you deserve it. Good luck!

Has anyone been successful getting this pricing applied to a current/active account?
Any tips/tricks?

It just showed up there; it seems like accounts are being updated since new subscriptions are taken place. I will wait 1-2 days to fully settle and see how it goes. But, somehow, I got 30 usd/month instead of 25 usd. 5 usd discount for auto pay. IDK why.
yea yesterday I got the 'cancellation notice' and it said last day of service was 2/28.....now today I get another 'cancellation notice' and the date isn't until 3/14....wth
Do I need to call and have them cancel the 'old' account now or just wait it out???? I knew I'd screw something up doing it this way not knowing what I was doing.... Frown
hmm... now it seems someone with broken English called from Comcast and left a messge something about facilitating the transfer..... but couldn't quite tell... anyone else get this doing the 'move' ???

Yes, email account will remain active as it is mapped to the same xfinity ID before and after the account switch. I'm in a limbo right now where my old account shows an error when logged in, and the new account is not yet active, but my xfinity email address works fine (lotsa useless spam since it has never really seen use outside of a junk address). I've had the same xfinity ID for like 15 years through 3 different accounts.

Bizarre. So far so good. Modern arrived and they sent a text lobbying me to activate it right away, which I will probably do this weekend since the pending cancelation isn't for another week.

yea, I didn't order a modem... figure I'll look at both accounts here shortly, see what they both say and then do a modem re-boot and see what happens.... maybe even try to 'activate' my existing one on the new account if I can...
edited - ok. seems old account still activated......and cancel date is 3/14.....so, real question is come 3/14, do I have to do anything with existing modem (ie, power cycle, add via app), or will it automatically switch over to new account???????????? time will tell if all this trouble will be worth it :/

I'm about to jump on this

If you BYO modem, the $45/month for 24 months @400mbps you can stack with 2 lines of unlimited phone on xfinity mobile for $60 minus another $45 off essentially making the internet free and you can get 2 free Pixel 8 with number transfer

I dont think generous is the right word here. There shouldnt be a data cap at all, its just ridiculous with the amount of data that can be consumed now-a-days.
Use xfinity modem in the advertised price included for free 2 years and no cap

Can you elaborate on this? What happened to the line plan fees?

They nickeled and dimed me on overages (applicable in some states) ... hidden in fine print. I think I'm a masochist who made the mistake of going to them again after promising many times never to do that. But enough ...

Had internet essentials ($10/50mbps), jumped on this offer 200mbps for $25month. Had to close I.E acct and make a new account. Also, it was billed as $35/month direct deposit (-$10) makes it $25. There was an option for free modem/router but i used my own.

Also, there's a promotion of 1+1 on unlimited lines(for 12 months). It gets really interesting from here, 1 line is $45, but if you take 2 lines, it's $30/line ,But coz it's 1+1, you end up paying only $30 for two lines instead of $45 for 1.
Basically, 2 lines are cheaper than getting 1 line.

In the fine print the BOGO is only for existing Xfinity customers of more than 90 days and the $45/month mobile discount only good for new Xfinity customers so can't do both

I've been trying to just get rid of them. So sick of the 12/24 month consistent arguments about the promos.

I do have their cable also. Has anyone figured out how to still use their X1 cable system with T-Mobile Internet?!

It says no term contract but is for 24 months? How does that work?
