You will be charged $150 today and on the backend a credit for that amount will be placed on your SIM.

When you activate, the SIM uses its $150 credit to purchase 1 year of service at the discounted rate of $150.

If you fail to activate in the time frame, which is anywhere from 3-6 months, they will charge you full price (an additional $150) and add it to the SIM cards balance for when/if you ever activate it.

No matter what, you are purchasing 1 year of service and the SIM card they send will forever have 1 year of prepaid service sitting on it. Whether you activate in 1 day or 3 years it will still work, the only difference is whether you pay $150 or $300 for that SIM.

I ported out a few weeks back. It took about 2 hours. I had to call in and get the account and pin first. It took a few redirects and waits, and attempts by them to get me to stay. But this took about 30-45 mins. Then I had to call again as during thr port out process, they don't automatically approve it. It again took a few redirects and waiting and upsell and finally was able to port out.

Boost Mobile customer service is the worst. The first 2 layers of customer service cannot speak freely or answer your questions. They are only allowed to respond with a few scripted sentences. Keep asking for a manager or supervisor and pray you don't disconnect during the 45 minute wait.

Wasted so much time and energy when I bit on a Slick Deal last year and they overcharged me $180 which took 10+ calls and 2 months to get back (They initially issued it as credit to my account and I had to fight even more to get it back to my card)

Does someone have a pointer to getting an ATT SIM card for Boost? I tried the Zip code trick in the post but still got the TMobile SIM. Thanks

Any way to tell if the sim I received is T-mobile or AT&T without activating the service?

Secondly, anyone already using the unlimited data knows what average speeds they get after exhausting the "high-speed" 5G 35GB data and how much percentage drop there is?

I ordered one but received two SIM cards.. do I use them for two phones for 6 months each? Or I can use both of them on only one phone for 1 year

How to determine the network of a sim card.

Look on the sim card for the ICCID number. Number should start with 8901. The next 3 numbers (MNC) will tell you what network the card uses. For T-Mobile, the numbers are likely 240 or 260. For At&t, the number is probably 410.

List of all the MNC codes in the US.

ICCID might also be found in the Settings section of your phone. Check in the Sim Status area and see if there is an entry for ICCID.

However, the easiest way to determine the network is to look at the color of the card that was attached to the sim. At&t is black which is why everybody refers to it as the black sim. Colors of the cards used for T-Mobile sims are white and orange.

Were you an existing customer?

I'm wondering if they'll send me one before I activate.

I have a black Att sim they sent me an extra after request. Not sure 100% how sims work meaning if it's associated to my account, I didn't activate just opened to make sure it was the black one but would you be willing to trade? If not allowed on here I understand

Received sims today (Tmob). One of the sims says Activate by April 2, 2024. Anyone know if these can be activated after the stated date? My current plan expires in May so was surprised by the activation date <60 days from purchase date

Please let us know if they do, and if you are able to activate it on your account.

Getting the AT&T SIM is easy. The important question is whether it can be activated on an account that already has a T Mobile SIM allocated to it. Would love to see some data points.

Well, that's the thing - we don't know if the SIM they initially send is tied to the account.

Traditionally, it hasn't been when buying from the website. It's retail SIMs that have plans tied to them.

Why are people trying to get AT&T over T-Mobile SIM? is AT&T network better than T-Mobile these days? If so, what's better and where?
Thanks
