You will be charged $150 today and on the backend a credit for that amount will be placed on your SIM.

When you activate, the SIM uses its $150 credit to purchase 1 year of service at the discounted rate of $150.

If you fail to activate in the time frame, which is anywhere from 3-6 months, they will charge you full price (an additional $150) and add it to the SIM cards balance for when/if you ever activate it.

No matter what, you are purchasing 1 year of service and the SIM card they send will forever have 1 year of prepaid service sitting on it. Whether you activate in 1 day or 3 years it will still work, the only difference is whether you pay $150 or $300 for that SIM.

I ported out a few weeks back. It took about 2 hours. I had to call in and get the account and pin first. It took a few redirects and waits, and attempts by them to get me to stay. But this took about 30-45 mins. Then I had to call again as during thr port out process, they don't automatically approve it. It again took a few redirects and waiting and upsell and finally was able to port out.

Boost Mobile customer service is the worst. The first 2 layers of customer service cannot speak freely or answer your questions. They are only allowed to respond with a few scripted sentences. Keep asking for a manager or supervisor and pray you don't disconnect during the 45 minute wait.

Wasted so much time and energy when I bit on a Slick Deal last year and they overcharged me $180 which took 10+ calls and 2 months to get back (They initially issued it as credit to my account and I had to fight even more to get it back to my card)

Received sims today (Tmob). One of the sims says Activate by April 2, 2024. Anyone know if these can be activated after the stated date? My current plan expires in May so was surprised by the activation date <60 days from purchase date
Mine arrived today and it will expire on 6/22/2024, which works out for me as my current plan expires early June. In your case, you may want to call Boost and ask for a later expiration date SIM.

Why are people trying to get AT&T over T-Mobile SIM? is AT&T network better than T-Mobile these days? If so, what's better and where?
Thanks
Apparently coverage is better with att for some than tmobile. I spoke to customer service and asked them to send me att sim. They said my plan is linked to be used only with Tmobile sim and it can't be activated with att sim. I understand the response from CS can vary and they may not be correct, but so far I haven't seen or read anyone successfully switching this plan from tmobile to att

I filled out the online form to port in a number, got the sim today, and went to the website. They already had assigned a number.

After phoning customer service (3 levels and 45 minutes!), they wouldn't let me keep the $150 plan and wanted to put me on the $300 plan to port in. I asked for a refund at that point.

Grrrr…

Sounds like you didn't read the order confirmation page which stated you could activate via eSIM at that point.

Just log in.

To be clear, one's never been able to switch once activated without some rep going really going out of their way to help.

Generally speaking, one needs to activate on the preferred network at the onset by using a Boost SIM of the network one prefers.

Maybe the rep confused the latter for the former.

"They said my plan is linked to be used only with Tmobile sim and it can't be activated with att sim." This is exactly what I was told in multiple calls and chats. I really wanted to buy this plan, but the consistent responses from their CS gave me pause.
