If you had really looked into the embedded processors that are out now, you'd know that the N100 is just the tip of the iceberg.

I'm pretty sure the 8505 would replace most of your 8th Gen systems, especially in the form factor that's offered.

For the price of a built out system this dell 3630 with i7-8700 is a much better value then building a nas box with an n100 or 8505 with 16gb of ram, where you still need to add a case and psu and hard drive
