ordered the RP-600M gen 1. these will be replacing my RP-160M
I don't know if there's a huge benefit. I still have my RP. 280 f I previewed some regular 800s and supposedly if you buy into some of the things you see on YouTube, there's an acoustic hole on those speakers. Even though apparently they used the same crossovers? I think it is something to do with the tweeter
I don't think you can go wrong either way

This guy is incredibly inconsistent and has recommended some pretty terrible speakers. He recommends the 600-Ms which suffer at the mid range, but dislikes the 600-M II that fixed the issue and sound excellent.

He doesn't test anything correctly. He just A Bs stuff without setting proper levels or with any type of control. Of course the biggest issue with all of these YouTube audio influencers is we can't hear the stuff in their room with their ears so it is really difficult to take any advice on audio from subjective reviewers. He might have his room set up in a way the speakers do sound really good and you can't match it in your set up.

Software to properly setup your speakers with room correction and EQ is the best way to go no matter what speakers you choose.
He did mention a disclaimer is that what he heard or taste is subjective and vary by ears. All thought, I don't agreed to some of what he or they are saying, but other times they seem to be correct. Beside they are there to make $$$.

About the room setup, there isn't any 2 room are same and these speakers are not $10K+ so it not that critical or need to be anal about the room correction.

Sound correction software like Dirac is good for 5.1 theater setup. After correction is done and you listen in 2 channels make sure left/right front are set to same decibel in your AVR, otherwise you will think something is wrong with speakers and most people overlook at this. Just move your speakers around to find the sweet spot and that is FREE.

Most buyers at these price range won't even notices that dip unless they are looking at the graph.

My order is processing at the moment.... enjoy listening!!!

This is an INSANE deal. I have this exact setup in my movie theater room but not the piano black (just the regular black) and I paid $879 for the package a few years ago. I would be all over this setup. Just get rears and a sub and you are set.

I got these maybe 2 weeks back when listed for $299 thru same site. Seems normal price is $349 on Amazon. Haven't tried them yet since they're a gift. Seems they are good but still the Gen 1 version.
They only dropped the price to $349 a few weeks ago. They were $399 since around November. $279 is insane. These are probably getting cleared out in lieu of version 2.

Amazon seller Azusa-Iot (aka Asus) sell manufacturer refurbished set for $265 few months ago. They were going like cupcakes as I've seen in my shopping cart. They raise the price up to $330 and now back down to $310 and still sell. At $265 free shipping they still making profits after repackage. Imagine buying them at MSRP!!! LMAOLMAO

If you clike through the link here, it shows $279. But if you go to their website directly, it is $629. This is pretty weird. I hope they don't ship open boxed speakers to us.

Would these be a good upgrade for my pair of R-15M speakers I have for my man cave? I listen to music and watch some movies. Thanks in advance!

Yes. Something with 80W/channel should be fine. The Denon S760 is a good pick.
Also good option is a good desktop amp llike ones from Fosi Audio or Aiyama
