Like this without the random spaces, im breaking it up to stop the auto insertion of a hyperlink that obscures the text.

https: //w ww.ad orama .com/kp1065806.html?%20sdtid=17313409&emailprice=t

Everything in the URL after emailprice=t is to funnel a portion of your purchase price to whoever owns the affiliate link (probably an SD admin). Welcome to the world of affiliate marketing. Thats why everyone links you to amazon purchases or adorama or whatever. Because when you checkout they get 1% or 10% funneled to them as an advertising fee. Meaning if you buy from his link he gets like $25, and if you strip it off, he/she doesn't. It doesn't change the price for you. It just changes whether adorama (or amazon or urlhasbeenblocked or whatever) pays a % commission to the marketing affiliate.

Here is an example of an item not on sale htt ps ://www . a dorama .c om/kp500mbksf .html

You can check for a secret affiliate sale by making it look like this:

http s://ww w. adorama. co m/kp500mbksf.html?%20sdtid=17313409&emailprice=t

We can see that its not on sale cause the price doesn't change.

Now if we take this link htt ps://ww w.adorama.c om/kp1065806.html

and we insert ?%20sdtid=17313409&emailprice=t on the end we can see that it is on sale.

Also, I would assume explaining how to strip SD admin affilate links out of the url is going to get me banned, since it is quite literally taking money out of their pockets. So nice knowing you.

Absolutely. With a good powered subwoofer, these even work well for mains unless you have a pretty big room.

This guy is incredibly inconsistent and has recommended some pretty terrible speakers. He recommends the 600-Ms which suffer at the mid range, but dislikes the 600-M II that fixed the issue and sound excellent.

He doesn't test anything correctly. He just A Bs stuff without setting proper levels or with any type of control. Of course the biggest issue with all of these YouTube audio influencers is we can't hear the stuff in their room with their ears so it is really difficult to take any advice on audio from subjective reviewers. He might have his room set up in a way the speakers do sound really good and you can't match it in your set up.

Software to properly setup your speakers with room correction and EQ is the best way to go no matter what speakers you choose.

I have a large room. These are my mains. My sub is also only 10". Everything sounds great. I don't need my music or movies to hurt my neighbors' eardrums. I do have the center as well.

I have been using the 600Ms for music for a couple of years. Out of the box they focus too much on the high and low end and dip the mids around 2K. If you can adjust that dip with a PEQ they sound pretty fantastic. They fixed this dip with the 2nd gen ones, but if you have access to PEQ it is easy to fix it yourself and save the money by getting these.

Will you need a AVR or amp for this? I'm guessing these aren't powered? TIA.

Could you recommend good higher end speakers that will serve well in a 5.1.2 system? I was looking the JBL deal today but people were saying that the price puts them where the competition already was so was just wondering if you knew? Or maybe a site I could look at that places them in brackets and stuff of price to performance? I really don't know much but I just upgraded my sub to a PSA 18" and now looking to do speakers next.

My promedia 2.1 thx I bought 10 years ago are still working but I've been wanting to try bookshelf speaker for the pc. Would these be over kill for pc?
Yes, but they are awesome. You will need a separate amplifier to power them.

Yes. Something with 80W/channel should be fine. The Denon S760 is a good pick.

You need to be more specific. What is your budget? What is your room size? Etc

Unfortunately what we hear is unique so there is no magic list or bracket to go by.

You're going get a lot of opinions but in the end the best "price to performance" to you comes down to you listening.
I get this is tough to do nowadays, unfortunately there is no short cut to this.

Proper placement & room environment play a significant role on what we hear also.
Room correction and or EQ does/can not fix that.

IF anything needs fixing, it should be based on what you hear not some measurement, those are not the same imo.

If you clike through the link here, it shows $279. But if you go to their website directly, it is $629. This is pretty weird. I hope they don't ship open boxed speakers to us.

Can you adjust the dip with a AVR? Is it worth buying even with the problem at this price point?

I got these maybe 2 weeks back when listed for $299 thru same site. Seems normal price is $349 on Amazon. Haven't tried them yet since they're a gift. Seems they are good but still the Gen 1 version.
