I'm reading many user reviews of
constant loud fan noise with this laptop. The problem is reported to be poor design- insufficient cooling built in. Strong components in a tight body with not enough room to breathe. This meets the specs of what I'm searching for, but unfortunately I'm going to pass

I had read that the ZB version used the previous model year design and does not have sufficient cooling and can overheat easily. There is another non ZB version using a better laptop design with the 13th gen CPU but it doesn't get discounted.

Interesting. Looking at LG site, the similar models are not ZB, just "Z" in their model number.

There is this almost identical laptop at BB but with a 2TB SSD for a whopping $500 more than the 1TB version (on or off sale):

Same laptop just 2TB or is there some other difference (other than color)?

No upgrade needed, unless your computing needs have gone up, and are not being met with your existing laptop.
thanks for your comment, I am increasing my computing needs, cpubench mark says my 10th gen is average cpu rank is 8,000, vs 18,900

My current 10th LG Gram works just fine, however, I am always on my computer and sometimes i have 30 chrome tabs opened, sometimes my screen would be lagging / slow...

definitely not worth paying $500 for 1 TB of HD.

Intel core ultra (14th gen) are rolling out. It has much more competitive efficiency, up there with ryzen and Apple m CPUs. We can probably expect core ultra lg grams to be coming out soon.
