Sound is good, has a fun V-shaped signature, very good sub-bass. The pads are indeed garbage, the main mod everyone does is swap them with brainwavz xl pads(currently on sale). I've tried the pleather and sheepskin leather, the pleather has the better sound and fit. The cable is really long so the other mod if you choose is to replace the cable with a 3.5mm plug. I'd recommend an amp to power them otherwise you'll feel max volume isn't very loud.

These have pretty decent sound and are pretty good if you want to learn how to mod headphones... don't expect greatness though.

Did this like 2 or 3 years back (after a deal here).
Been enjoying them quite a bit.
I mostly listen to electronic and hip hop so it has a decent punch.
The ear mods are super comfy.

Love the retros, my cable started falling apart and didn't order a new pair.
Gotta get brainwavz pads, sheepskin is very highly recommended
