My wife says good things come in small packages.
..
...wait
most likely its the LG thats culprit. I had same issue with Sonos and LG. switched to Sony TV, no issues.

I use an LG C1 with the soundbar 900 and before a 700 - both through eARC. Never had any recurring connection issues. Almost 4 years of ownership of Bose soundbars and maybe twice I had problems and I spent an hour each resetting to get it fixed. Random issues are frustrating for sure but maybe I'm one of the lucky ones.

I concur except for the skipping portion. It looks really nice and the restarting/repairing only takes a few seconds to do. It's not a huge hinderance.. If you're big on asthetics then this is your best bet for the price and sound quality. If you're willing to dish out for Sonos then that's the only other option. The Samsung options are ugly
Agreed! I have an LG and it too had problems with the 900 version of this bar + atmos upfiring drivers.
The key is to connect everything and enable earc on the tv. The bar will start playing. Make sure the "quick start" setting on the tv is also disabled.
Once it is working with the TV, Then disconnect the power on ALL devices. Plug in the tv and wait a minute for it to power up (does not need to be on, just plugged into power), then plug in the bar.
Reason this works: The LG software does not initialize the earc properly the first time you enable it…and hangs on to it incorrectly so has issues to power up/down. When you force a full disconnect it then plays nice as it looks for the soundbar when the power is restored. I Had problems for the first few days of the bar not connecting when turning on every 2-3 power cycles - drove me nuts playing with settings on the bar and TV. After reading LGs dont enable the earc correctly without a full power cycle and following this process, the units been working over a month 100%.
Been flawless and sounds fantastic - a steal at this price. If you can float a little more, the 900 frequently goes refurbished on the Bose site for 625. Full warranty, 90 day trial, looks 100% like new. Also works with 3rd party subs (or sub wireless dongle) via the wired sub port….so you can save some $$ there too or grab a refurb.
