I have had this one since it came out and I am happy with it. The battery lasts a good 6-7 days in airplane mode (i don't keep it connected all the time, sinc with phone once every 2-3 days). The Galaxy 6 does not have as big a battery as the 5 pro so I won't be changing it until Samsung comes up with something new that keeps power for at least 6-7 days.

PS You get the steps count, HR and Sleep track under airplain so you dont have to keep Bluetooth running all day long if not something you need.

I got this generation and I also have the new 6 Classic (with bezel). I actually like the 5 Pro better because it has significantly better battery life. It all depends on what you find important.

Yeah, the 6 Classic has a slightly bigger screen, but the 5 Pro is no slouch.

You will need to upgrade your watch if you plan to get a new phone. Samsung stopped support for the gear line starting with the S24 line.

Love my Galaxy watch 5 pro, had it for 8 months and logged over 200 running miles. The GPS gets more crazy each time, and I have tried all the suggestions. Will have me running through a lake 2 miles away from the real location. Many other good features make me overlook the accuracy issues.

What scared me the most about android. I'm debating whether I should sell my ultra for like 380 and get this and a cheap Samsung. I have Sickle cell so alot of physical activities I can't even do. Just walk and light weights.

I had the same issue, but I found that Bluetooth interferes with the GPS signal a lot. After stopping listening to music while running, GPS is very accurate.

I bought this watch LTE version for no good reason other than blood pressure monitoring curiosity and use it with a S23 Ultra.

Keep in mind if your phone is on prepaid cell service, I believe Visible was the only company that offers using the same number and I think they charge for it. I'm on AT&T prepaid and have my watch on Tello. Phone forwards calls and messages from phone to watch. Check out Reddit if you're in a similar situation.

I exercise on a stationary bike. The exercise program on the watch does not accurately count calories. It does not take into consideration variable tension to reflect proper calorie count. But it is extremely accurate for me on pulse, BP, ECG, etc.

If I understand correctly the 5pro LTE must have an LTE or it will not use BT or WiFi if LTE is not installed. Not 100% sure. Look into this further if wanting the LTE version.

Was surprised how handy it's been.

Pulled the trigger on a very good condition. Will be my first smartwatch. Figured I'll just trade it into the Samsung shop (currently valued at 250) if I want something new.

3 days of battery is decent IMH. I think the OS is different between the 2019 & 5 pro model. 5 pro has Google's wear OS. Althought I miss Sammy's Tizen. Functionality may be close to each other. Although 5 pro is Titanium Tough! My gps, bluetooth & vibration is always ON on the watch. If I turn at least the gps & vibration off, I may easily be able to pull 5 to 6 days of battery out of the 590 mAh. In Short, if you dont mind charging it every 3 days and dont need gps, keep your watch
