If you're gonna order eBags, use Amazon. I thought I was doing them a favor to order direct, but the process wasn't good… and part of ordering from Amazon includes simple returns plus customer service, if needed.
I wanted to make some changes during the last FP deal and within a couple hours of placing my order they said no changes because it already shipped, then I got each item individually… over the course of THREE WEEKS… and several items never arrived.
Getting this resolved has been a big PITA… and we're STILL not settled. You wouldn't have this same problem with Amazon.
Finally… the backpack with the built-in padded waist belt? It's surprisingly heavy. I suggest reading the weight spec for whichever backpack you order… I chose the most expensive one assuming it would be the best, but I probably won't use it as much as my lighter packs. It's also bulky. 1/2 of the load on your back will be the bag itself.
Don't forget codes WELCOME20 for 20% off or WELCOME15 for 15% off
Also…the EVD backpack, which I quite like for a coffeeshop bag for my computer etc is very small while still fitting my 15" MacBook and quite a bit of stuff. So not a travel bag but a nice small form campus bag. Just a warning as it looks kinda funny on my large frame but I still like it.

Just purchased a 14" laptop. Looking for laptop bag that can carry it safely while carrying a memobottle water bottle + a few other small items. Prefer sling-style vs 2 strap backpack style.
Probably looking at anything from 15-20L. Looking to keep it budget friendly. Tons of recommendations for bags that cost $250+ but I don't care to spend that much on a laptop bag.

But isn't it expandable? When you expand it, is it still small?

It expands really well. It has gussets and become like double it's width, very wide. But it is still a very short bag. Bottom of bag hits my middle back. Long enough to hold a 14 MacBook and several textbooks.
Maybe fully expanded into the form of a cube, but 20l seems optimistic. It still holds a surprising amount for a bag that fits an elementary school child.
Well, it weighs 3 lbs. I feel this is too heavy for prolonged carry.
Yes I was very excited when I ordered my motherlode jr, but the way it hung on me exacerbated my back injuries to the point where I could barely use it. I passed it on and the person says they love it so who knows. I could be an outlier.
