If you're gonna order eBags, use Amazon. I thought I was doing them a favor to order direct, but the process wasn't good… and part of ordering from Amazon includes simple returns plus customer service, if needed.
I wanted to make some changes during the last FP deal and within a couple hours of placing my order they said no changes because it already shipped, then I got each item individually… over the course of THREE WEEKS… and several items never arrived.
Getting this resolved has been a big PITA… and we're STILL not settled. You wouldn't have this same problem with Amazon.
Finally… the backpack with the built-in padded waist belt? It's surprisingly heavy. I suggest reading the weight spec for whichever backpack you order… I chose the most expensive one assuming it would be the best, but I probably won't use it as much as my lighter packs. It's also bulky. 1/2 of the load on your back will be the bag itself.
Don't forget codes WELCOME20 for 20% off or WELCOME15 for 15% off
Also…the EVD backpack, which I quite like for a coffeeshop bag for my computer etc is very small while still fitting my 15" MacBook and quite a bit of stuff. So not a travel bag but a nice small form campus bag. Just a warning as it looks kinda funny on my large frame but I still like it.
Yes I was very excited when I ordered my motherlode jr, but the way it hung on me exacerbated my back injuries to the point where I could barely use it. I passed it on and the person says they love it so who knows. I could be an outlier.
Ah. I'm sorry to hear that. Well my order is in (for a motherlode sr) as a 6'1 33yo man of average build with no back injuries. Here's hoping it's not too much. It does seem like a lot to put on one's back though.

I think you'll be ok. I'm a former Marine your height and broad guy who used to have no problem carrying 100 lb packs plus weapons and gear. Shit catches up with you. I would have used this motherlode all the time if I didn't start to feel my injuries. I bet you'll get years of use out of it it's built like a tank!
Haven't visited eBags for a long long time. So they don't sell other brands anymore ?
They got acquired by samsonite and there were quite a few negative consequences. But yes only the ebags specific products to be found there now. They keep cutting costs through product changes but it seems their core packs like the motherlode etc maintain their integrity and value.

I bought the pro slim laptop backpack in 2017 for $99 and still using it today. Pretty good deal at $75
They changed it around 2019 or so didn't they? All the reviews saying it's not as good. I bought the old model NIB for 32 bucks a while back on Mercari and you're right, it's fantastic tech bag.

Warning though. If you order ebags via Amazon you may still get charged hefty return shipping fees for anything you don't like. Personally I'm souring on both ebags and amazon despite loving their products for many years.
Flash sale is over anyway. The sale prices you see now are their usual prices they leave up.
Really? Looks like the average price on Amazon was just over $100 for the past 6 months, according to 3 Camels website. Are you saying these are the normal prices on the eBags website?

No you are right. They just have opened back up the 75% sale because when I looked last time they were back at "normal" sale price. The flash sale was (and is again) 75%. Don't forget the promo codes.
