FYI, Just Josh reviewed this laptop and labeled it one of the worst of 2023 because it was very loud and the fans would cycle up and down frequently. Shame too because for a non-gaming laptop, this has great features.

EDIT: I even looked further into this because it really is an interesting laptop. There were some threads about a BIOS update. But it doesn't look like it resolved the issue. There was even a second BIOS update on the issue and it didn't seem to resolve it. That's as recently as November 2023. https://community.acer.com/en/dis...runs-noisy
Great price for a maxed out non-gaming laptop. I wish more 14in would come like this
Then get a MacBook. Or don't shop for laptops with OLED displays.

Battery size and life are starting to go the way of SD cards and it's gross, some of us still travel and live life outside of a charger for 2 hours

Is it worth paying $100 more for new over "certified refurbish" with 2 year warranty?

16GB is on-board, correct (LPDDR5)? So no upgrade path for RAM?

Ok. I just saw a review for a MSI with a 72whr battery, and it was "8 hrs at best" for a work computer with a13th Gen i7.

Every review I read about a laptop is great battery, bad battery, okay battery.

I've used PCS and Androids my whole life but at this point I guess I'm going to buy it on the Mac
Did that laptop have a dedicated GFX card with an OLED screen @ 120HZ? These premiums unfortunately come with a cost and that's battery life.

This doesn't have a dedicated GPU. It's integrated graphics.
