Some reviews state G-Sync can be enabled when using the d-GPU only, others state this does not have G-Sync. (I should test this, but am not sensitive to screen tearing so I don't notice it to begin with).

Charging brick is significantly smaller than the bricks for the Legion 5 Slim 16" model and others with a 200W+ brick.

I also purchased an Asus g14 and objectively the screen, build quality, and cooling on this laptop is head and shoulders above the g14 - all without any extra tweaking.
On the negative side, this laptop has all soldered RAM, but it's ddr5-6400 at least. In comparing 780m performance between games with the 32gb version I ordered from Lenovo directly, I haven't seen any marked difference. Power users may see a difference in some specific use-cases.
The size and weight are excellent. It's lightweight and thin, and gaming performance is still very good.
When not in gaming performance mode, I regularly get 8-9 hours on a charge with office and web use. Definitely a solid workday laptop that doesn't look like a gamer laptop to the untrained eye.
The keyboard is good. The touchpad is fantastic. Superior to my Zephyrus track pad, and on par with MacBook pro and HP Spectre quality. It's accurate, clicks are perfect, gestures are intuitive and smooth - it's easily one of the best track pads out there on a modern laptop. This surprised me, as I didn't think the Zephyrus track pad was particularly bad.
The screen is where this thing leaves competitors in the dust. Getting that sharp of an OLED screen with the taller aspect ratio for $1100-ish, WITH a 4060??
Hella fine deal. I am very pleased with the laptop over all, and even 16GB should be good for the lifespan of the laptop for gaming and basic work, at least. I did pay a little more and get the 32gb when I bought mine because I do heavy video and photo editing on mine.
Games don't ever use it all, but video and photo projects gobble up RAM in a hurry!
Overall, highly recommend this laptop, and am happy to answer any questions about it, including comparing to competing models.
One odd thing missing is USB4. You're stuck with the included 4060 graphics since an eGPU isn't an option.
edit: one other odd thing - going from performance graphics mode to integrated only for max battery life requires a restart. on my Zephyrus it didn't, so this is strange and inconvenient to me. If someone knows something I'm missing, please let me know.

My solution is to leave it in hybrid or the auto mode which utilizes both GPUs depending on load. Supposedly you can use the Nvidia Optimus options to switch from dGPU to iGPU without a restart but I'm not sure. The hybrid mode offers plenty of performance for my needs.
Glad it was quicker. Was talking to my wife about it and she laughed at how long shipping would take. She's an Apple fan so she just walks into Costco or whatever and is out the door with a device. No waiting a month for shipping haha.

This one from Best Buy is $1,049.991. $130 less with 16GB versus 32GB.
If I use this mainly for gaming, should I just go with the 16GB RAM one? Everything else looks the same as far as I can tell??
Honestly, I've not had any issues at all with 16GB. I added a 2TB SSD on top of the existing 1TB SSD, and that still came out cheaper than getting it from Lenovo with the 32GB upgrade and I've found no issues with less RAM.
You'll likely hit GPU limitations on this before RAM would be a problem as long as you're just gaming. If you're going to be running lots of Docker containers, VMs, and things like that, sure, the RAM would be really useful. For gaming though, this thing runs great with 16GB, and the screen is amazing for the price.

I'm glad you benefitted from it, but frankly, you can keep your thumbs up on "my" deal. In fact, I'll go into that deal and thumb it down, because I just don't care.
