I don't know about you guys but out here in Cali a dozen original is now $18.99, with this deal it is easier to swallow, but you gotta be insane to spend this much on a box of supposed to be cheap donuts, used to be $8.99.

$18.99 for one dozen glazed donuts is crazy. $0.99 per donut should be the max.

Office, warehouse, any occasion that calls for donuts, stocking up in granny's cabinet with her other junk food that has been there for 10 years… lots of reasons just need to find em

It's only 3 donuts for your birthday, this year!
Well THAT sucks.
The only time I went to KK was after I signed up when they opened near me, and I got a free dozen on my BD. Which I 'donated' to my husbands firehouse. I did buy a few specialty donuts to offset the free dozen. Last year, went to do the same thing, but on the morning I went, the offer mysteriously disappeared from my acct. And C/S was USELESS.

I would never willingly pay that much money ($19.99 in NNJ) for a dozen donuts.
Fwiw, DD is $21.48 a dozen, according to the app. Outrageous.

I'll stick to buying 2 at a time from Shoprite for dh. They're $0.99 each.

These are decent while hot, but go stale quickly. With 2 dozen that is just too much money and they will be stale by the time they are eaten.

I just checked here in Alabama, Krispy Kreme glazed dozen is $14.99 and specialty dozen is 18.99. Assorted is $16.49.

Only two local donut shops - The new one just opened and is 1.89 per for basic and they only go up. 2.19 for like a frosted one and up from there with many at 2.99. The other local place is $3 per or 29.99 a dozen.

That leaves multiple Dunkin locations at $13.99 a dozen. Guess I need to check Kroger and such to compare too, if they actually have any they are usually the best. Sigh. I like doughnuts but dang they are expensive.
It's $15.99 in Nevada so with this deal you are looking at over $20 with tax that's crazy to spend that much on donuts let alone glazed! I remember these used to be $5.99 a dozen!

'Dollars to donuts' hehe. Have not bought a dozen donuts since they were $6 for 12 and you could get another 12 when they had the BOGO offer. Think its a pretty good way to make people give up junk food by price gouging. Smilie

I live in NYC and a dozen here is $22.49 according to their website. You can get half a dozen glaze for $15.98. I guess this is why I've never had Krispy Kreme.
Side note, KK had an email code that expired on the 25th for 2 dozen at 24.99. Wish they ran promotions better because half the time they email something it's junk.

KK was actually good with promos back then. I used to hit them up all the time at Penn Station pre-covid when it was much more reasonably priced so surprised you never hit them up.

22.49 is Times Square pricing so that's pretty much a given. Penn at 19.79 which is still a bit blah.
Those the heavy tourist traffic spots. So yeah the Dunkins around Times Square area also floating 20-21.

The app shows 16.79 for a dozen glazed at UES and few other spots.
Harlem pinging at like 15.99

When you compare this to Dunkin the prices at KK feel a little more reasonable (If you prefer KK that is.)
NYC prices is crazy all over the place. Near the UES has a Dunkin selling a dozen for like 20.99 on average you looking at 17-19.

I wish this would be/been live.
I literally bought 3 dozen donuts at 15.49 each at Dunkin Donuts and need 2 Dozen more. -_-
Dunkin at 15.49 is only at like 3 locations probably because they forgot to update the app while rest of them are floating around 17.99+++

At this point may as well give out Cereal bowls instead.

Super accurate post. What state is it, I'm super curious now?
My example was for Wichita, Kansas. Folks would run to Kansas City for KK before we had a store.

Store pricing is roughly 15 cents/dozen for ingredients
Source: my brother was a manager at a KK and he was frequently ordering ingredients (prices listed on order sheet)
15 cents/dozen sounds amazing. I guess there size/scale gave them an advantage. Coffee shops/Starbucks have a 90% markup is what I've always heard regarding price/profit. 15 cents/dozen is dirt cheap just for the ingredients!

The $15+ regular prices people are talking about for a dozen glazed doughnuts are unbelievable. I can't believe Krispy Kreme can find enough takers at those prices to stay in business. How much is a dozen cream/custard/jelly filled Krispy Kremes? $30? Insane!

I guess I can add Krispy Kreme doughnuts to the growing list of things I can't afford anymore.

Dry ingredients like flour, sugar, yeast are very, very cheap.
The biggest cost for any business is usually labor, followed by lease, followed by utilities. For most restaurants the biggest profit maker is usually drinks. The amount that it costs a restaurant for a soda (syrup, water) is usually 2-3 cents for the largest size they sell.

motivation to eat healthy... I wish all unhealthy food is this expensive so I won't eat any of them!!! Last time I bought donuts it was like 50 cents. hahah.. Not paying $2.29 for donuts. Croissant bacon and egg is 2 for 5 at burger king!!!
