Some carriers have hidden the original EasyTether app. They cannot do
this because of the latest FCC tether rules.
Note that all paid EasyTether versions function the same way. There is
no difference. You can buy whatever is visible with your carrier.
Like the GL.iNet GL-AR750 on SD for like $20 bucks. I read on https://thewirednomad.c
I installed the Tailscale app on the AppleTV and have configured it as an exit node. Subscribe to the Tailscale youtube channel and you'll find how to set it up. From my research, many have stated that the AppleTV uses very little power compared to even Raspberry Pi modules! The benefit to having the AppleTV as an exit node -- in addition to what I just stated -- is that my internet traffic will be protected because of Tailscale's VPN capability when I travel overseas. Furthermore, Youtube TV and other sites will not "work" in certain locations. When I was in Vienna, Austria, before enabling Tailscale, I wouldn't be able to connect. Once it was enabled (with the Apple TV as exit node), I was able to visit Youtube TV and many other sites that have geographic locks. (They enable it for security and to prevent Europeans from accessing certain US content).
Updating firmware isn't hard and can get newer documentation on their website
1. I have no plan to returns other than for warranty or RMA.
2. Old Firmware? I don't care, I bought after someone confirmed EAP supported after upgrade to firmware 4.6
3. Old document? Easy, check on GL.iNet directly
So even if I returned it for warranty or RMA, I would still pay for shipping if I got it directly from GLinet, whereas Amazon I would get a free return and get another one.
Been trying to figure out which of GL.iNet routers are best for this, or if this router works well.

I could potentially use the Beryl if my home router took a dump, until a replacement is ordered.
Beryl likely handles multiple connections much better. USB-C.
Slate is lighter/smaller, cheaper.
