great camping item, as you can stick the spike end into pick up firewood off the ground when splitting wood or camping and still remain in a comfortable standing position. you can hook smaller trees that are too heavy or unwieldy just drag them on the ground it's a lot easier (cuts down ground resistance while dragging because you can get most of the trunk off the ground . it's much better than picking up some dirty scratchy branches on a small tree. back and scratch injuries savers. you could use the adze end to split small rounds of firewood then pick them up easily with the pickaroon end. if a round splits and still has strands holding it together, you can use the adze to sever those strands. instead of tugging it apart with both hands which is irritating with possibility of cuts/injury.. you could use the adze end to make wooden stuff at camp like canoes. can chop roots, or go mining for gold contained inside rocks !:if the handle is broken you can carve another, and it sets on the head due to the bulging ind of the handle, so you don't need fancy mounting/setting out in the field or campsite.

Personally the Romanian looks better made than nato I'd get that one.
Seems sportsman's guide still has the best price on the quality made Swiss military pack axe. if you bring these two tools to the campsite or wilderness there's nothing you can'd do
