Ultimate compound. You can't really mess it up, as the abrasive breaks down on its own. It will eat more clear than 205, even a little more than 105 on its own, but it's a nice 1-hit solution. Follow with 205 to make the paint shine nicely after.

These 3 products comprise the important parts of my paint correction kit.

I second Ultimate Compound.

But if the scratches are light, you could first try Ultimate Polish. Then if Ultimate Polish doesn't work, step up to Ultimate Compound.

I use both Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish. Start with Polish first, then if that doesn't work, move up to Compound.

Even a good scrubbing with Cleaner/Wax might remove light fingernail scratches under the door handles.

Yessir! Be sure to clay bar before and wax after. I apply my cutting compound with a brushless dual action polisher. Hands down, the best way to get a mirror finish on a black car.

ScratchX and products like this are fine, but they're basically just repackaged Ultimate Compound. For $5 it's okay, but at full price you're better off buying UC.

Ceramic after, not wax. Wax is mostly a waste of time for me. You're better off using a stronger sealant for the time you're spending on it. Even Adams spray-ceramic is better than a wax, and not much more expensive.
