The cardboard is cheap and thin. You can try to keep it and punch parts carefully, but even if you do the paper will wear quickly.

Either buy the regular version or pick up some plastic coins to replicate the shoddy originals.

Seems like Spinmaster Games creates low quality components and therefore has to fire sale their games below MSRP.
