This has already been pointed out by numerous others on this thread. I'm sure that some boneheaded person will think it is a good idea to reach out to MLB.TV to verify it. DO NOT CONTACT MLB.TV. Assuming this is an error, contacting them will guarantee that it gets fixed and ruin it for everyone here who got a 2023 subscription.

It's not available until 3/26. You should be able to see the announcment in the T-Life app by scrolling down to and tapping on "What's new" on the Home tab.

It's a bit silly that this thread is front page news a month ahead of the offer's availability.

Ok so I'll chime in here again, even though it's outside my experience since I ran across another bit of info that might be helpful. Hopefully others still reply if they have more direct experience with it. Anyway, it sounds like the MLB subscription essentially got cross-linked to your friend's Apple / iOS account rather than directly to an MLB account. That's obviously more complicated than the typical non-Apple subscription, but I think you were on the right track with trying to link it to your MLB account with him logging in to it, but maybe just didn't quite get far enough, as the link doesn't happen automatically when you login. Anyway, I found the procedure below describing how to make that connection from the MLB app while logged into an Apple account with the appropriate subscription (at least it looks to me like that's what it's for). You may want to have your friend try completing that process to see if it makes that MLB subscription transfer successfully. Then hopefully, the subscription would be linked to your MLB login so that you could use it. This was pulled from the MLB site in reference to subscriptions through an Apple device.

Accessing your Apple App Store In-App Purchase on other Supported Devices
A major benefit of connecting your Apple App Store purchase to an MLB account is being able to access the purchase across your compatible Apple and Android devices. You will also have access to At Bat on the web. Connecting a purchase to an MLB account also allows Customer Service to better assist you with inquiries and troubleshooting. You will have an opportunity to connect your purchase to an MLB account after making the purchase, or it can be completed at a later time. You can only connect an Apple App Store purchase to one MLB account. If you connect the purchase to a second MLB account, the first account will lose all entitlements.
1. Open the MLB app
2. Tap on the "Browse" icon in the top right of your home tab
3. Scroll down until you see "Account Settings" and tap on it
4. Tap on "Connect Purchase to MLB" and log in with your registered MLB account email and password or register for a new account

Great … glad to hear it worked. Thanks for letting us know and also about the "restore purchase" step when needed, as it's one of those areas where there doesn't seem to be a lot of data so far.

If you already had someone create an mlb account on the mlb app on their iphone, then what you posted, should you connect purchase to mlb while already logged in the mlb account on the mlb app on the phone? Or make sure you aren't logged into the mlb account before this?

I'm not sure that it matters whether you're logged in first, but if you're not already logged in, it will likely require you to do so before making that connection. However, take note of Samuez's post above. He mentioned that since he had deleted the MLB app at one point, he first had to use the "restore purchase" option to tell the MLB app to link up with the subscription again (via the Apple account). Then, he used the "connect purchase to online MLB" option to actually push it to the MLB account itself (at least that's my understanding of it). Yeah, it seems like there's a lot going on behind the scenes with the way this works.

Okay but the thing though is he already had mlb tv subscription already on the mlb app right? The he deleted the app on the iphone and redownloaded the app again. You say this is similar since the code is linked to the apple account?

Yeah, my understanding is that when you first install the MLB app when first redeemed through the TMo link, it sets up the MLB subscription and links it to your Apple account (even if you haven't necessarily created an MLB account yet). Then the MLB app itself communicates with the linked Apple account and also keeps a cached copy of the license on the app so that it doesn't have to constantly communicate with your Apple account about the subscription. However, if you delete the MLB app at some point, that cached copy goes away since its settings are removed with the app. Thus, if you reinstall the MLB app, you first need to tell it to verify your Apple-linked MLB subscription again so that it knows you're a premium member. That's what the "restore purchase" thing is about. Then the app can make the transfer from an Apple-linked subscription to your MLB online account (through the procedure linked previously) so that it can be used from non-Apple devices. (Again, this is my understanding of it based on what I've seen posted).
