But if you have the 1TB plan, you can't extend it with this. You have to wait until that's almost up and then redeem this.
I made this mistake myself. There's no warning or anything, the system just assumes you want two simultaneous photography plans. If you try to get help through the virtual chat it doesn't understand the issue. Then when you get a person, they (at least the one I chatted with) basically shrug at you and say they can't help. You have to get someone on the phone. Here's the number: 1-800-833-6687.

Affinity is more like Photoshop than Lightroom. Yes you can edit photos but it doesn't have any of the catalog/organization that Lightroom offers.
The best cheaper alternative I've tried for Lightroom was Luminar AI (haven't tried Neo, the newest version). I basically went from Lightroom 4, then tried most of the cheap or free programs everyone recommends, found Luminar was the best of them and was the only one where I thought it produced better results than Lightroom 4.

About 4 months ago there was a deal on the Adobe Photography Plan so I thought I'd give it another try, and I don't think I'll be able to go back. I take a ridiculous number of pictures and working in Lightroom is so much faster for me that it's worth the money just to get my time back, not to mention some of the more advanced features like the AI noise reduction. When I compare results with pictures taken in poor conditions, the ones in Lightroom look like they were taken with a camera 10x the price.

Hello All,

I have been using the Adobe Photography subscription for years. I had the 1TB plan and then tried to activate the 20TB plan, and they are competing products. So after a chat and phone call with customer support, they re-issued the redemption code that I had for the 20TB plan that I tried to activate and told me to active that new redemption plan when the existing 1TB plan runs out. Easy Peasy

i have the 20 GB plan, and would like to extend it. my plan says:

Photography plan (20GB)

US$9.99/mo
Next payment on Jan 2, 2025
Annual plan, paid monthly

i'm wondering if i should risk it, i don't want to be paying for 2 plans at the same time.

How does it compare?
If you're used to photoshop, it'll take a lot of getting used to. I find it extremely difficult still not as easy as photoshop.

I have a photography plan for $9.99/month at Adobe and tried to cancel it to get this one.

"You'll be charged an early cancellation fee of US$24.98
Per the terms of your subscription, if you cancel today, you'll be charged an early cancellation fee."
I think the trick to avoid the fee is to change your current plan to another and cancel the new one within the grace period.

Subscription pricing is pure AIDS.

Thankfully there are alternatives.

Anyway to keep stacking these subscription deals? I have been using capture one perpetual which goes on sale for $140-$170. I usually upgrade every 2 years. It's close enough to getting the Lightroom subscription which includes mobile version too. I edit on my iPad alot. Syncing catalog would be nice.
