Look at the PS5 Pro supposed leak pics. Night and day difference. It looks way better. You also fail to understand that the bright white controller looks pretty distracting as one is laying on a couch or bed in a dim or dark room and the controller is out in front in field of vision. There is a perfect reason why game systems are designed black. Why are Blu-ray players and surround systems mostly colored black and not bright white? They aren't "art hanged on a wall". Blend in your electronic devices where it looks somewhat nice and not distracting.

Different time. The 80s with the woodgrain walls and woodgrain Atari may have been considered nice looking. The NES had that ugly grey. Styles and design expectations have changed back in those days. If you gotta go back to old game systems and say "The PS5 isn't too bad compared to Telstar Arcade", it isn't a ringing endorsement. The problem is more about the color and the system shell gimmick ($55 each). They purposely designed it white in order to milk customers in spending more for a cheap shell cover. The bright white controller is distracting. I lay down with the controller on my stomach in dark room. I would never want a bright white controller especially with a horror game for a more immersive experience. Dim the lights. I just want to see TV and that is it. When I watch a horror movie, everything around me has to be dark. More immersive experience. My PS4 is s on a vertical stand right next to my television. If that PS4 was white, it would be distracting and be an eyesore.

If someone wants to buy a red god of war PS3 or a red iPhone, that is their choice. Go for it. It isn't for me. Those people have options. The PS5 gamers need to shell out another $55 for a plastic black shell and more later for a black $69 controller.

Yes but 2 things to consider. The PS5 has Hdmi 2.1. There isn't alot if games yet that take full advantage of this. A monitor that has hdmi 2.1 is going to cost more than one that doesn't.. Secondly if you use a mo itor you have to use its internal speakers if it has any or Sony branded headphones because native blutooth devices don't work with the ps5. Also 1440p is supported but wide-screen support is not. You will have a slightly stretched effect if you play at forced wide-screen or black bars on the sides if you don't. Hope this helps.
