The game used to sell for $4.99 according to Steamdb.com. The developer even mentioned it was free to keep on Steam, so I figured I'd share it. I was able to add it to my library.
These comments are quite baffling. I have no idea about the game posted in the original post, but a quick lookup on SteamDB shows that the game has been selling at $4.99 for the majority of the time (with occasional $0.99 sales). This is the only time it is offered for free. Considering that the game has fairly good reviews (80.12% positive out of 24k+ reviews), I think this can be a good deal for many folks.
The biggest topic of this thread seems to be the "Free to play" label. What most people don't realize is that when the game goes on a 100% discount, the purchase button on Steam turns into "Free to play." It's just a limitation on the Steam platform, and I have no idea why Steam hasn't updated this. Regardless, this "Free to play" label on the button seems to trigger many people here. I understand that many free-to-play games disappoint, especially due to aggressive microtransactions and/or data mining. But before trashing the deal post, at least do some research.

slickdealers like to jump to conclusions.
This is a good deal, the game was I think like $20 on launch? I remember watching a lot of streamers play it. Guessing they're giving it out for free because of low player numbers.
Meh half the time these games are kinda pathetic. I'll gladly take these though over the 'free' game demos of like a level and a boss that gets put up.
Because honestly who pays for a demo of a game in the first place?!?!?
Those seriously need to end up being blocked from posting.
