I lose trust in Amazon more and more by the day. I've never gotten anything from Warehouse…curious to hear others experience with it RECENTLY.
I've purchased 1000's of items from Warehouse. Ever since mid 2023 they have declined tremendously, shipping empty boxes and what not. To add insult to injury Amazon is no longer refunding me for returns. I have 30 returns open from January that Amazon is refusing to refund. They say my account is fine but they're just not processing refunds. There's a lot of posts on Reddit about it too.
i bought these last week. i bought 5 and they were all brand new.
i should also point out that i bought 2 motherboards from amazon warehouse, and they were both completely destroyed. bent pins, dented corners, weird stains. etc. the warehouse employee who repacked this for resale was straight up brain dead.
People buy the items beat them up and send them back Amazon just repacks it and sell it "' like new"
I have several of these bulbs in various fixtures around the house, and generally like them. Brightness seems sufficient (I use the "adaptable white" mode that changes the color throughout the day to match outside light) although I use them for supplemental lamps mostly and not to light an entire room. The Kasa app is easy to operate but a little buggy sometimes… takes 10-15 seconds to connect to my network when first opened and I can't turn any lights on/off during that lag. We did have a recent storm related power/internet outage blip, and every smart bulb in the house turned itself on in the middle of the night lol.
Amazon Warehouse wise, I buy a lot of my stuff from there. Mostly positive results buying things in any condition (even Acceptable seems to always relate to torn packaging and not the item itself) but I've also received some defective or wrong items the past year. In fact a bulb deal like this had two completely different brand cheaper smart bulbs in the box, that a prior buyer had obviously switched out as a scam. Amz has always taken items back and refunded though — it's an inconvenience more than anything.
I only order "Like New" items. Been shitty experience lately.
Ordered DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter, 2 of them. Both were not working.
Ordered a PC Case, (Jonsbo D41) and it was supposed to have an 8" screen, that was missing.
Ordered a motherboard, it was missing CPU pins.
Looks like a good deal on the bulb, but gonna have to pass.
I order from AWD a lot. And my experience has been mixed bag: about 60% of the time I will get what I ordered in the condition I ordered; ~30% it will be worse; the remaining are "switcheroo", lost packages and cancelled orders. Switcheroos are the worst and increased in numbers lately

I don't have any delay like that with my Kasa (or tapo) app. In fact, I've always been real happy with how responsive they are.
Saying that, I have a TP-Link Deco mesh network and all my kasa and tapo devices play well with the Deco app along with the Kasa and Tapo apps. I have no delays whatsoever with any of it. certainly no 10-15 second delay when accessing the app/network.
We have 7 of these energy monitoring plugs, and this is a good price. Similar to the warehouse pricing at the end of last year. Amazon warehouse has been very good for plugs and light bulbs, but switches have been more hit-and-miss (~80% OK). Light strips have had a very high return rate (>50%). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you don't need energy monitoring the Kasa EP10 plugs are smaller and less expensive (~$25/4-pack) but are still rated for 15A. I've tested them with a hair dryer and the plug stays cool.
We use dozens of the Kasa devices and our experience in the Android environment has been uniformly positive.
i expect these will come "new" with package wear like most warehouse deals where they have huge stock (in my experience). there are over 1k bulbs available according to my cart.

What's the difference between kasa and tapo?
Looks like tapo was to replace kasa then tp-link changed their mind.
So now there are 2 lines.
Which do folks prefer? I already have 20+ kasa devices.

Basically the same bulb as OP, but brighter.
Especially the sex light 🤔
