I've got the same question.
It's almost identical. The other one had variable speed drive, where this one has 5 forward, 2 reverse speeds. That's really about it. I bought the other one and it was delivered 2 days ago. No snow here to test out, but I did assemble it and run it for several minutes. It started right up and ran fine. I'm happy with the purchase overall.
No regrets.
Just posting this as an FYI, no idea re the quality, but for $300 it's worth it IMO
