Is there something special about this brand? Local Wallyworld sells 26oz whole jalapeños for $1.47 everyday price. Yeah, this gets delivered to my door, but... is that why this is a 'deal?'
Edit: looks like a WM across town has this same brand for $1.58... also everyday price. See attached screenshot.

Most people that game the subscribe and save process use this to get to five units and 15% easier. This one buy could make my $40 collagen drop an extra 4 bucks since I only had four items in my S and S hopper. I'm with you though.
FYI. Aldi has "La Costeña" brand of the same size 26-Oz whole Jalapeños for $1.25 and the sliced cut kind for $1.50 cut peppers are usually a dollar more expensive. They also come with an easy open pull tab, so no can opener is need it. It seems Aldi is a better deal to me, obviously if you have one near you. I suggest always buy Jalapeños peppers that are brine or pickled in Vinegar, Ortega brand sells Jalapenos in water and they do taste horrible!
Do not discard the vinegar in the can, it can give and amazing flavor kick when you put a few tablespoons to Salsa, Chicken or Tuna salads, or when you fried your beans. Look it up, you will be amazed on how many recipes you can use the vinegar juice.

Nothing special, other than that they are always pretty cheap.
I buy the 6 lb can all the time and keep them in jars in my fridge. Good, hot and they'll last forever in the fridge. No complaints whatsoever
Just interested in knowing what people do with a large can of this after opening it ?
Put them in a jar and in the fridge. They'll keep pretty much for ever. When finished, you can add sliced onions to the remaining juice and let them pickle for a few days. Good stuff.
Good price if don't have easy access to them, but normal price at most supermarkets. This brand tends to be milder than others, so it doesn't burn on the way out.
Super easy to make your own. Bring to boil, vinegar, water, sugar(?), salt, and any spices/herbs you like. Add the peppers, cook as long as you like, or not at all. Jar up, cool and refrigerate.
I make a 46 oz pickle jar of slices about monthly. 2 lbs of fresh peppers. Addicted. Must have on sandwiches.
Lasts for months in fridge. Just like a jar of opened pickles. The more vinegar, the safer. Use at least 50%. I use 60%.
