Now they've done it...
New wording for Metro unlock policy:

https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy

"Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:

The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."

Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

no, it has to be activated when received. I have it and like it better than the Moto Stylus. Much longer support with Samsung too.
I ordered another Samsung A15 from QVC yesterday for my senior friend. This QVC deal is $85. with using the $15. off code NEW2024 for new customers (I've ordered previous items), but I used a different email and it gave me the discount. It comes with the 1500 talk, text, data, case, cig lighter power cord, standard power cord and the plug of which my A15 from Total did not come with the plug. I like the 60 day unlock on Verizon vs the 6 month wait on Metro. Solid phone regardless of carrier.
Exactly what I was thinking. So if I receive the phone from Total and my Metro service is disconnected it won't work, correct. What happens. Also, after one month of service with Total it should unlock after 60 days.

Nope, Moto stylus 5G 2023 is 100x better than Samsung A15...total version has 4gb ram that sucks lot...
Faster, better, long battery life, dual SIM (p+e) and desktop mode that makes it become an incredible phone...

You apparently are choosing to ignore that the A15 is for a senior friend and has 365 days of service for $85.

To get 365 days of service on Metro, the senior would need to spend $40 x 12 = $480.

LoL, now you turned to plan - very limited plan to compare unlimited everything plan...you bring it back to $25 plan after the first month.,
Metro plan is far better than any total Verizon plan.
Not to mention the crappy 4gb RAM A15 phone to compare

Why not?

LOL

A senior doesn't usually care about unlimited anything.

$25 x 11 + $40 = $315 > $85

LOL. Nice you have $235 that you like to burn.

You do you. LOL. Big Grin

Yes I know but the phone will be for a family member. If they bought it in Canada it would cost $300. Still a good deal for them.

charge every day? You have a habit of posting nonsense. Battery life with use on the A15 is 15 hours, 28 minutes vs Moto G Stylus 2023 is 13 hours, 20 minutes. Samsung A15 has the much better Super AMOLED screen that is much brighter, better contrast vs Moto with the dull TFT screen. PC Mag rates the Samsung A15 with "Editors Choice" vs the Moto at "Good" and that's two steps down. Samsung A15 is Android 14 vs Moto at 13. Samsung get 4 OS upgrades vs Moto at 2. The A15 on Verizon has very little bloatware vs the bloatware from hell with the Moto and the Metro logo that's not removable: https://www.theverge.com/23800535...swish-apps
Forgot to add the Samsung A15's screen is protected with Dragontail Pro vs Moto at none and easily scratched.
