New wording for Metro unlock policy:
https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/t...ock-policy
"Unlock eligibility requirements
We unlock mobile devices that meet the following eligibility criteria free of charge:
The device must be purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.
The device must not be reported as lost, stolen or blocked.
Three hundred sixty-five (365) days must have passed since the device's activation date."
Should obviously only apply to purchases made after they changed the rules.
But might have to fight for that...

Did you use the same credit card as on your first order?
When you ordered, did you leave the phone # to be the same as your Metro phone's #? --> Yes the number that i got for 1st order which was my GV number.
Did you use the same credit card as on your first order?--> Yes but i used Capital one virtual card for both order

That's crazy that a virtual card # works but real card # doesn't. You have to wonder what nutty algorithms Metro is running.
The issue is that I've tried many times, with different accounts, phone numbers, devices, browsers, internets, and there is no way you can add a new line with $30/month and get the phone.
Everytime at the last step after you filled out all the information, they said "Please contact us to complete your order. Your security is important to us. Unfortunately can't complete your order online. Our award-winning Mobile Experts are ready to assist you. Please call us or visit a store to continue." I called them every time, and I promise you they will not solve this issue.
Seems like you must use a new account to finish the payment and get the phone.
It seems that T-Mobile would rather have a new customer than an old customer.
In practice, Metro ties the SIM to the phone IMEI, so not sure this would work.
I'm convinced Metro has implemented multiple layers of enforcing the 2 device/household limit. If you truly want to buy more than 2 and wouldn't mind losing some multiple line discount, start from scratch and make sure every piece of info is new (maybe even using a different address).

It seems like it. Even used variants (on Swappa etc.) of the Moto 5G Stylus are still quite a bit more expensive than this deal.
2nd one I unlocked before Input it everything went through & they charged me but then it glitch out & said order got cancelled due to they can't verify my identity but still charged me ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Right now, your incoming calls will give you a busy ton for a ported-out GV number. Now issues mean the phone will remain active on GV and Metro. You can simply reclaim the old number, but you need another real mobile number to reclaim it (which won't cost $3). As soon as you reclaim it, incoming calls will go to GV voice mail.
I have done it. Also, if you don't want to reclaim it, that is fine as well. We're all doing this for 30 days and letting the line expire after that.
