unless you are just trying to free stuff get the deal i would say pass on this. just got off the line with their customer support.

its 350-500 mbps for 60gb
after 60gb you drop to 3mbps to 600kbps

the average video game ranges from 30-100gb

this is fine for people web browsing and maybe netflix subscriptions

Just an FYI... If you work from home, it may be built into your contract or employment terms to have wired home internet connection. These 5G connections have caused a lot of problems with connection quality and they tend to block ports or disable some services.

I got this for an Xbox Series S and found the service to be quite slow (Saint Louis).
I was glad when the time was up and I could switch back to ATT Fiber, and ATT gave me all kinds of stuff too for coming back.

If it says it's not available at your home address. You just enter an address that does have 5g coverage for it and have it shipped to your address,
It's same as cellular network and can work anywhere. But make sure it's not the window ultra wideband unit as those have to connect to an exact mini 5g node near your home

Stil on old plan $50 for a few more months. Just noticed my old plan is the new $80 one. Might switch back to crap cast. Sigh.. All and all. For Florida it was good enough. Able to watch 4k videos, don't have to worry about the physical line going down. I will stay if they renew my rate.

How is this service for online gaming? I assume the speeds are fine for virtual work and video streaming, but I'm worried about lag spikes and latency issues for online games
It has been great. I play rocket league a ton and have no issues. Rocket league is like the most ping dependent game you can play too. I get 27ms ping on speedtests and in game 35-50 but that's the the same I got when I had Spectrum. I get 300-320mbps down and 22-35mbps up. Both speeds are capped. If I run a speed test on my phone I get 700mbps down so they are capping it around 300mbps in the cband coverage area.

My advice is to run a speedtest on your phone in the room where you'd put the modem and see how you do (assuming you have a 5G VZ phone)

I also have a work PC connected to a VPN 24/7

This is 100% false. Based on absolutely no reality.

30-40 is terrible for fps games.... for all games actually. you want ping to be single digits 2-3 is most ideal
Are you nuts?

Why they don't have higher speed plans. The max is 300 Mbps.

Currently, I have ATT Fiber with 1000 Mbps plan.
The max is over a gig on verizon 5g but you have to be in a mmwave coverage area... just like you have to have fiber to get a gig on fiber. Coverage area is a thing no matter what internet you get.

I bought this when they offered the fre series X plus $200 amazon gc plus $100 verizon gc. the service is horrible. slow as crap. dial-up probably isn't much worse. but they basically paid me to try for 6 months once i sold the series x. will be dumping it at the 6 month mark.

I helped set-up a 'friend's remote work-from-home environment. The company required that the internet connection be wired (dsl or cable or fiber) and that the connection to the workstation be wired. Pictures and paperwork were required for verification.

Yes, some employers required hard wired connections.

Offer valid thru 3.31.24 for a Nintendo Switch. For new home internet customers who activate and maintain eligible 5G Home Plus services in good standing for 65 days and redeem offer w/in 60 days thereafter, or by no later than 8.31.24, whichever is first. Verizon reserves the right to charge back the value of the Nintendo promotional device(s) if eligible service is canceled w/in 180 days. One offer per eligible Verizon account, while supplies last.

So it has to be active for two months before promotion is applied?
