are people really this stupid
that they buy a remarketed
$10 hotplate with a $20 pot
and consider $70 a "sale" ?

for $40 you can buy a 6qt
pressure cooker that does
this and a whole lot more.

Yeah I agree - although I love my Ninny air fryer and mini 11 in 1 oven, I really don't see a point in this since I have an instant pot.

So what advantage does this offer, it does slow cooking and sauteing? Does it do anything particular?

I mean does this do anything that my stove top plus a slow cooker can't do?

Since the pot can go into the oven, you will have one less thing to wash compared to using a stove top + slow cooker method.

I think this device will be useful for potluck and parties where you want to keep the food warm for a while (and you can cook the food in the same pot).

I believe you can use this device for hot pot. If you can make rice or pasta in this, you can make hot pot. (Hot pot - that's a good idea!)

I have 2 of these in the 8.5qt yes it's a slow cooker but the aluminum pot is way easier to handle than a ceramic one.

It's better to use a dutch oven and/or a pressure cooker, they're both superior to slow cookers and more versatile

Agree and if you read the reviews on problems it can't do the things it claims, it heats and boils.
