The first season is incredible if you enjoy literate gothic horror in a tense, mysterious atmosphere. Probably the single best season of supernatural horror we've gotten this century.

This first ran on premium cable when that guaranteed serious graphic violence and nudity.

Conclusion was rushed and Patty Lapone coming back was stupid (shes was great in S2) but other than the last say, three episodes this was an amazing gothic horror story that was super well acted.

Agreed. First season was the best. 2nd really good, but 3rd lost it's way.

I don't think so. Season 3 was rushed. I think you'd be content with just the first 2.

One of the best miniseries. The locations, sets and costumes alone make it worth watching. Wish it had finished up a bit stronger.

This reminds me. I saw good reviews for this. I watched the 1st season. I gave up watching it. I can't even remember why I stopped watching it. It was years ago. I might have to watch a little on Paramount+ to figure out this puzzle. lol
