Hi Guys,
I have already picked up the phone from Best Buy.
But I have not got the ATT email yet. It is be due the the port-in failure.
Should I still contact ATT to cancel my service?
If yes, should I call their customer service 800.331.0500?

The confirmation email I got was "Please confirm your email address" and came only after I'm denied

I've tried a few times now to no avail. Maybe I did the Spectrum deal one too many times and my soft credit checks are screwed?

Though it does say specifically that my wireless carrier won't let me transfer my number, etc.

I got an in-person consulation appointment for tomorrow and hopefully I can start a new line in person and they'd order the phone for me...

I'd check with BB first and then with ATT. You want to do a clean cancellation of the account to avoid future headache

Thank you OP.

I got 2 phones at the store. Walked in and asked for the phones - CS said 2 available. Took my SSN, Id and a credit soft pull and within 20 minutes I am out with 2 phones and 2 new numbers. The CS forgot to take the phone out, insert the sim and activate it. I walked out to the car and the CS came running to me and said we need to activate the lines. Went back to the store and they took the phone out and activated the phones.

My question is should I wait for tomorrow or now to cancel the service? Thanks.

They are not cancelling the line. Asking to activate the sim and get a one time pin. Then only the line can be canceled

What happens to your ported phone number after you cancel the ATT service? I ported my Google Voice number. Is it possible to get it back to GV?

Don't ever trust those agents? Whatever they do, must have a confirmation email. I was denied on the 1st try of requesting cancellation, but it was successful on the second agent and I got an email that my line was terminated.

I am ready to pull the trigger online shipped to my house. Porting in GV number. My concern is not getting the phone in time to csncel in the 3 day window. Order says i will get Wednesday the 6th which is 4 days from now. When will it actually be activated?

i got it in store for $0, came home logged into my phone and the plan was $60.99 per month for 1 line, i called the customer service to cancell it , as im decided move to different network, they were persistant to continue line and gave discount, but i said no, and cancelled the line
make sure to cancel it effect immidialaty,
I no loger see the line in my account, no CC details given ! free phone YAY

Did you have to activate the sim and had to setup the Account Pin ? Then only they allowed the cancel ?

I ordered online... but phone went Out Of Stock... and all nearby locations pick up is on 6th March... should i pick up on 6th?? Will the AT&T line be activated before that???

I got email from AT&T for email address verification today.
