Just to be clear, AT&T account cannot be cancelled , it is just the line that is cancelled. Is that correct? After cancellation, I can still login to my account, but there is no phone line there.

Guys don't buy this phone. For last 3 hours I am trying to cancel the line and AT&T is just keep telling that only loyalty department can cancel and loyalty department is asking for Account pin and one time pin. This means you are forced to complete the port in

I tried to cancel by chatting with ATT, but they are asking to call the loyalty department tomorrow. Cant it be cancelled through chat?

Did anyone cancel service before picking up the phone from the store. I did port in and my AT&T account is active. I am going to pick up the phone tomorrow. Will best buy cancel my order if I cancel the service before picking up the phone.

I just cancelled the service for 2 lines. Chatted with the CS and he said he cannot cancel. Provided -8003310500 - ATT - Loyalty dept and advised to call and cancel.

Called and the wait time was 15 minutes. Asked the reason for cancellation. Said reception is bad in the area - garage and some parts of the house. No further questions asked. Cancelled 2 lines. Tried to make calls from both phones and the lines are dead. Received one email saying "profile update". "the wireless number xxx-xxx-xxxx is no longer associated with user ID This change may be due to a request you made, or the wireless account may have been closed."

CS said I will get another mail for the second phone. Anyway, Thank you all for 2 free phones. Smilie

Earliest pick-up for me is after 5 days,
And I'm transferring my GV number to AT&T so service might be active from today,
Is it ok to cancel the At&T service before pick-up? Has anyone tried this?
