Govee Smart Space Heater for Indoor Use [amazon.com]

$29.99 + tax after clipping a 40% off coupon.

I picked this up from a previous deal. You can control this with the buttons on the heater and you can also use the govee app. If you want to be able to schedule or set auto shut off conditions, you'll need to use the app.

This unit also has rgb, so you can use it as a night light as well.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

These are the Govee.com coupons mentioned the most by Slickdeals users:

BOOM 10% off (confirmed on most products)
SPLASH-CAD 12% off (confirmed on various sensors, light strips, etc)
TAKE5 $5 off per unit (better than the welcome offer, confirmed on various products)

So we don't rehash lessons from previous Govee deal threads:

- There are no international transaction fees even though Chase says it's international.
- Govee is a Chinese brand, but they tend to have exceptional quality, outstanding customer service/warranty, and many fans on SD, which is why they consistently hit the Front Page.
- The warranty experience is much better when you buy direct, as opposed through Amazon. Your order is directly tied to the app, meaning you can initiate a recall of a defective unit with free shipping directly through the Govee app with one click; no phone calls or hassle.
- Their Bluetooth only devices often pair with Govee WiFi hubs for their other products, allowing remote access to your devices out of the house and on the app. For example, their BT hygrometers connect to the v2 water sensor WiFi hub.

Your comment cannot be blank.

I grabbed two of these to try from a deal a month or two ago and liked them so much that I ordered a third with the last deal posted at this price a few weeks back. I never thought I would get excited about a space heater but these things are awesome for $30. The smart features have been flawless with Google Assistant for me and the air they push has been the best I've ever seen. I already sold all of my old space heaters and have zero regrets.

This is the first space heater that I would actually consider using the 'fan' mode on. It isn't going to be anything powerful but it is far better than any other space heater I've owned that just ends up back in the closet for 8 months out of the year. The smart light is gimmicky but, I have to be honest, I enjoyed using it in my daughter's rooms because they enjoyed having the custom color change. The effects for the light in the app are basic and pretty useless but the fact that the light is there and customizable is just extra anyway so I could care less.

Bottom line is this is a no-brainer price for a really good heater.

P.S. I enjoyed the heaters enough to order the companion room temperature and humidity sensors that I thought were supposed to make the heaters function better to maintain accurate room temps and have found them to be useless. Maybe I got the wrong ones but after they were paired, it didn't seem to change how the heaters function. If you try to get those too, either do plenty of reading up on them first or just avoid them like I should have
And yet, you clicked on the deal and felt the need to share...
I bought this after looking at so many different space heaters and purchasing 2 others. The safety features are awesome. It has tipover and overheat detection. I have a 4 year old who lovessss buttons so I have disabled the local controls and only operate through my phone. I added a widget to my home screen so turning on/off is fast and painless.

The app does so much. I use the heater for my home office but I tend to forget to turn it off. So I have it scheduled to turn off automatically at the end of each workday whether I use it or not. Nice, now I don't care if I forget! Also have a remote temperature sensor connected that I place at the opposite side of the room. The temperature control is excellent when used this way.

I love the customizable lighting. Finally, the heating is fast, the fan works well and the oscillation is wide. Overall, a complete steal at $30. I never thought I would like a dumb space heater so much!

I must sound like a shill but it's really this good.

We have central heat, and have never owned or used a space heater before. But I kinda want one to check it out. Just not sure if practical uses for these if you have central heat. Maybe for the garage if working out there?

Honestly, we sporadically use space heaters to maintain bedroom temperature at night, when we use our sunroom (which tends to have horrible temp control because of the nature of the room), or in bathrooms. It is really more of a convenience thing than a cost/energy savings for us.

I've used space heaters in my garage shop/gym many many times when I knew I would be there for long periods but, honestly, they will do their best work in an environment that is already climate controlled. If you will have plenty of time to run it before getting into the garage, it may raise the temp a little but I would not try to use these as a primary heat source for a space that is often poorly insulated and expect any great temperature changes to be achieved. Obviously, everyone's setup will be different so YMMV.

I came here to basically write this same thing!! I love these heaters and the RGB nightlight is a neat little bonus.

We use them in the bathroom when showering to stay nice and toasty as well as in our baby's changing area

Thanks. Guess haven't had a need/use in 20 years, so maybe I will pass. Our central heat does really well, so rooms are pretty consistent.

Guess I could lower the overall heat at night and use one of these in the bedroom.

UL or ETL

The non oscillating version provides links to documentation showing some test info.

The only thing I've found for this version is under Questions & Reviews
Q: Is this unit ETL certified?
A: This heater is ETL Tested.

I am confused about the maintaining temp issue. I have a big one and if you don't schedule on/off through the app it gets to a temp and then eventually turns off. Doesn't maintain

I have a govee fan (not a heater) and it has been running almost nonstop for literally over a year. I even dropped it a few times! I am a huge fan (pun intended) of govee products because of the quality.

I have central heat but tend to stay in one room for long periods of time, so why heat the whole house? For example, I've had a space heater in my computer room for a long time because I spend a lot of time there. When this sale came up before, I bought one of these for my bathroom. Being able to prewarm my bathroom and keep it heated while I showered is great.

I just bought another one today. I will likely swap it in for my old unit in the computer room, because it will go nicely with the galaxy projector and fairy lights I have in there. The bigger, nonilluminated heater from my office can go into the living room.

I've found that the onboard sensor is more indicative of the temperature of the housing than the ambient air. so it shuts off early and doesn't maintain a specific temperature well at all. pairing an external sensor is necessary.
