I grabbed two of these to try from a deal a month or two ago and liked them so much that I ordered a third with the last deal posted at this price a few weeks back. I never thought I would get excited about a space heater but these things are awesome for $30. The smart features have been flawless with Google Assistant for me and the air they push has been the best I've ever seen. I already sold all of my old space heaters and have zero regrets.

This is the first space heater that I would actually consider using the 'fan' mode on. It isn't going to be anything powerful but it is far better than any other space heater I've owned that just ends up back in the closet for 8 months out of the year. The smart light is gimmicky but, I have to be honest, I enjoyed using it in my daughter's rooms because they enjoyed having the custom color change. The effects for the light in the app are basic and pretty useless but the fact that the light is there and customizable is just extra anyway so I could care less.

Bottom line is this is a no-brainer price for a really good heater.

P.S. I enjoyed the heaters enough to order the companion room temperature and humidity sensors that I thought were supposed to make the heaters function better to maintain accurate room temps and have found them to be useless. Maybe I got the wrong ones but after they were paired, it didn't seem to change how the heaters function. If you try to get those too, either do plenty of reading up on them first or just avoid them like I should have

I bought this after looking at so many different space heaters and purchasing 2 others. The safety features are awesome. It has tipover and overheat detection. I have a 4 year old who lovessss buttons so I have disabled the local controls and only operate through my phone. I added a widget to my home screen so turning on/off is fast and painless.

The app does so much. I use the heater for my home office but I tend to forget to turn it off. So I have it scheduled to turn off automatically at the end of each workday whether I use it or not. Nice, now I don't care if I forget! Also have a remote temperature sensor connected that I place at the opposite side of the room. The temperature control is excellent when used this way.

I love the customizable lighting. Finally, the heating is fast, the fan works well and the oscillation is wide. Overall, a complete steal at $30. I never thought I would like a dumb space heater so much!

I must sound like a shill but it's really this good.

What is your opinion on the warranty Amazon offers? Serious inquiry, I've been looking for a bathroom/workout heater for a long time mm
Honestly, for $30, I didn't invest in any warranty. I figured that if I got the first two and wasn't impressed, I'm not shy about sending things right back. If they impressed me and lasted two seasons and even one died, I probably got my money's worth out of it. It has already exceeded my expectations but it's still such a minimal investment, personally, I do not see a new for warranty. I buy them for expensive electronics sometimes but no matter what service you go through, you will inevitably have to jump through a ton of hoops with any claim and I'm rarely willing to do that for anyone less than $150

It hit 80 degrees here today. NOT needing a heater at this time ...
If I only bought things I "need" on Slickdeals, I would save thousands of dollars each year

I'm amazed at all these positive comments. I returned this a couple months ago. It puts out such little heat and in a small area it simply wasn't worth it. Useful for the lady at your office who has 3 blankets and needs her feet warmed and not much more. It was cheap plastic and enough to make me rethink twice before getting any "govee" nonsense in the future. So pricey for more cheap smart home junk that doesn't work well. In a year or two, it will be yet another brand.

If you have it and love it, good on you. But there are definitely other sides to this coin. I'd gladly spend 3 times more on something before getting one of these again. I have a girlfriend who goes through space heaters like no one's business, so I have some experience here.

We have central heat, and have never owned or used a space heater before. But I kinda want one to check it out. Just not sure if practical uses for these if you have central heat. Maybe for the garage if working out there?
I doubt that would be very efficient in a garage. You want a propane heater out there, one rated for indoor heating. I actually use a stand alone propane heater to heat up my house.

This is more for zoned heating, where you only want to heat up a room where you are currently are, and have no need to heat up the whole house.

Is this space heater ok to use in a bathroom? I like to preheat it up before I jump into the shower. Obviously I would disconnect it before showering

There are space heaters made specifically for bathrooms. This one is not rated for them.

Saying that, it never stopped me and I would certainly use this in a bathroom.

Came here to say this. Space heaters are energy savers, because they are SPACE heaters. Turn down the heat and only heat spaces in use. Easily saves money even with expensive electricity.
Very true for the most part, but out here in California electricity is very expensive, due to the Enron scandal and other factors, so if you have a gas furnace it is often cheaper to heat up your house with a gas furnace instead of using a 1500w space heater in one room. Especially if the space heater puts you into the 3rd tier.

Yes of course it's very specific on any pricing structure you have, size of house and it's insulation both externally and internally, and if your central heat has stages/zones/etc. Of course, usually electricity is cheaper at nighttime, when I'd expect to be using a space heater most often.

Good point about nighttime rates, They are cheaper after 9pm here.

I've owned both models. I like the oscillating one because it moves and has the RGB lighting. It's not much bigger so you can still have it on your desk or night stand.

The model you linked doesn't move, so if you point it directly at yourself, you start to burn up before the room heats up

I have govee water sensor and heater.
I am thoroughly impressed by their app.
Must have some talented developers in govee.

I 100% agree with this and did the same thing. It showed up for $50 @ one point with a 50% coupon, so I got a second one for $25. Haven't even opened it yet, but I liked it so much I couldn't pass on the deal. I actually really like the color modification. It's looks really cool/modern and more expensive than it actually is.
