The 900 has a better bar and sub, but no satellites. It's the same as the Q990C minus the satellites.

I'm new to this and need some help. I ordered the S900 soundbar from OP and the SWA-9500S/ZA speakers from Best Buy after reading they are comparable to the 990C. However, the 900C is listed as 7.1.2 channels, while the SWA-9500S/ZA speakers add another 2.0.2 channels, bringing the total to 9.1.2. The 990C has 11.1.4 channels. Do the two missing channels make a big difference in sound quality? Would it be better to switch to the S910 soundbar which has 9.1.2 channels?

Additionally, the Samsung website states the SWA-9500S/ZA speakers are only compatible with Q900A, Q800A, and Q700A soundbars. However, most users report successful pairing with the S900C. Will they work well with the S900C without experiencing sound distortion or connection problems?

I just purchased the hw-q800c this past weekend from BestBuy for $720 after tax but was able to order the q900c here for $498 after a $25 promo code. Time to take the q800c back.

I haven't had a quality soundbar or surround sound for years, and the q800c sounds amazing, so I can't wait to see just how good the 900 is.

Now, time to keep an eye out on a deal for the rears.

You want the Q900C, the 910 has satellites with a smaller bar/sub, the 990 is the same as the 900 except with the additional satellites

It took me a bit to figure out but for those wondering...
The Q910C is the same soundbar and sub as the Q800C but with added surround speakers.
The Q900C is a completely different soundbar and sub but it does not come with surround speakers.
