What is T-Mobile Network Pass

T-Mobile Network Pass allows you to try T-Mobile's network for up to three months for free, while keeping your existing service with your current carrier. All you need is an unlocked, eligible eSIM-capable phone, and to download the T-Mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play store. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good rage against a cellphone company. But I'm confused by this one. Why are you feeling ditched that T-mo doesn't offer a test drive to current customers? Were you hoping to test out the T-mo network, even though you are already a customer?

i put an inactive verizon sim card into my unlocked metro by tmobile Moto g stuylus 5g 2023, and was able to activate the 90 day trial. lets see how it goes!

Please DON'T sign up with T-Mobile:
2013 - Free phones with Verizon - no problem - excellent Samsung phones and only activation fees.
2018 - Free phones with MetroPCS (parent company with T-Mobile) - downgrade to iPhones but only paid activation fees.
2020 - Free phones with Cricket - great phones with only activation.

T-Mobile - has been awful experience. As quoted by another T-Mobile store manager "We were mislead", yes we were and T-Mobile customer service or T-Mobile store did nothing to resolve.
T-Mobile 'FREE" phones charged our CC - $881.10 with the promise of credits over 24 months. No credits and no refunds.
T-Moble BOGO watches charged our CC - $748.98 with the promise of credits over 24 months. No credits.
In addition charge our statement each month for phones and watches. Our quoted Military bill quoted $135 a month (no fees & no taxes). The statement each month $179.
Please, Please Do Not Go With T-Mobile. Save yourself a headache and financial disaster.

I am going to be honest, this was a nightmare, but I finally was able to activate it despite an initial error downloading the eSIM and then the You look familiar error after re-installing the app. I don't think any of the six people I talked to over the phone, chat, or in the store had any idea about this program until I got connected to the final support boss at what was described as Network Pass Support. Here is the phone number 1-888-437-1209. Do not bother with anything else. Honestly not sure why sales doesn't know about this at all, it's wild.

FYI tried to activate with a number I've been bouncing around, first from mint then to us mobile for the past month. It denied me. When I entered my main number it allows it. So I may be able to use the service if I'm not porting but I definitely can't port from us mobile and possibly mint. I don't care about the number as I only use it for supplemental data when traveling. Just wanted to confirm us mobile for sure doesn't work and possibly mint as well.

I think the key is "Verizon network". I am in a similar situation. I had Mint for years and they suck in my area as far as prioritization. My one year Mint expires on 6 June. Next few days I will port my number to US Mobile Verizon (has prioritization vs US Mobile T-Mobile). Use their 30 days free trial. If that does not work, will try TMobile 90 days. Tmobile would not let me try wit Mint, even as I tried with a Cricket 7 day trial and new number.
