Can we trade this deal in and instead go back to no commercials on prime video?

Food delivery services are so overpriced nowadays. I signed up for grubhub+ through prime, then Uber one through capital one just for not using it even once. Total order always end up 30% more expensive then picking up yourself.

I signed up for this a few years back and cancelled it within a few weeks. Prices on grubhub and similar sites are sooo incredibly inflated, it just promotes putting a larger dent in your wallet.

use GH, uber eats and door dash the "slickdeal" way and you'll save.
lol and all the time for what savings exactly?! Are you the "guru" of savings?! Lol I would rather not give into these overpriced services. I tried GH+ was a joke. Use Uber eats when they email me a 40% promo still a joke. So enlighten us all food delivery guru. Oh I know you probably don't tip! That's how you save on the 40 percent price increase. Or you will come back with some 3% cash back or maybe even 5 which if it's a 50 dollar order equals?….lol not enough. But glad you are "playing the system" play on playa

Wow another GH+ for being a prime member! What a joke. Did Amazon buy Grubgreedy+? I feel like this is an every 6 month roll out. I guess no one wants to pay 40 percent more to get a delivery and then tip on top of it. Decreased fees my A$$! They really need to put a disclaimer on that oh wait you don't know the "fees" if you aren't a GH+ member so there is their go "around" Anyone ever wonder what the "fees" as high as they are with GH+ would be if you weren't GH+?! Or do people see "FREE" and run to it like it's the best thing?! Serious question

It's a gimmick yet this gets upvoted to the moon because it's "free" and "cool"

My brother owns a restaurant, and grubhub takes 30%, so yeah, math checks out. Basically, it's the price you pay for not having to get in the car and picking it up yourself.
Food price should be the same price, the service fee should be the money made by GrubHub, delivery fee should pay the driver, tip is a bonus to the driver depending on their service.

Not saying you're wrong I think this is where I think/expected of each portion of fees are going. Additional inflated prices on the food price is extremely off putting after everyone got their share already.

I wish there was a system to give feedback to unfunny and unhelpful comments that really just clutter the forum and make people not want to help or share deals.

Anyway back on topic and thanks for your clever and valuable insight. Speaking of genius. I guess it takes one to know one right?
But maybe you'll agree with this afterthought: SD has shilled this specific topic so endlessly through staff-promoted and sponsored ads, that they've created a hostile environment for anyone who thinks they're sharing it with everyone for the first time. The source of the problem.

Recurring deals can be tedious, but there are a lot of people who didn't see the previous ones, which is why they are popular. Probably the best solution would be more slick deals so no one has time to pay attention to the deals they don't like.

here's your serious answer which is not all that secretive: pick-ups only so no need to tip, only use these apps when they have 30% off or more, and yes these offers happen several times a year. combine that with gift cards at 15% or more off and you're saving a boatload. next time, don't be a sarcastic a-hole.

Hostile environment? I'm not sure that shilling is hostile. Hostile is going after people, shaming them, calling them idiots etc. There is no reason or excuse, shilling or not. You wouldn't say it to a strangers face, you shouldn't say it on a forum. I was specifically being snarky about someone being cruel to another member.

Hoping for walmart+ home delivery to arrive soon. No tips. No price increase. Just order whatever and it's there. The gas discount is also nice. The commercial bait and switch at amazon is why I cancelled prime. It just made me re-evaluate why I have prime at all.

I didn't really watch their vids that much, but I can get the same cheap crap at walmart, plus fresh groceries, plus cheap gas. Both have commercials on their videos(paramount+ is trash). So that's a wash. I stream, as a rule, because I hate commercials.

So that leaves old netflix/iptv movies, as their recent stuff are forced DEI/ESG remakes that are so stupid or satanic that my brain starts to hurt. So I don't watch much new media in general anymore. And that ironically opens up more options for commercial free streaming.

I have seen Grubhub prices are always 10 -15 % more than already hyped prices on DD or Uber , apart from all extra fees

People have this membership free and still don't tip above $1 for orders that take about 45 minutes for drivers to deliver.

$139 a year for Prime is not slick.

I rarely buy on Amazon anymore, and when I do I wait until I hit $35 for free shipping.

The cheap Chinese garbage is 50% cheaper elsewhere, and the name brand stuff you can buy for the same price at Walmart, eBay, or another big box store.

The amount of time and gas I spend is worth it alone. There are so many times where I just need a simple item or tool and knowing that I can get it in 1 to 2 days is invaluable. Half the time I go to the physical store they never have what I need anyways and it's beyond frustrating. So much easier going straight to Amazon and getting what you need quickly. And Walmart+ does not have near the items that Amazon has nor the assurance that you'll get it quickly. Plus the fact that my kids in college use our account as well to get stuff shipped to them quickly is a huge benefit. Prime at $139 is still a bargain to me and obviously millions agree with me.
