It's the seam that's the problem. If you bang it slightly or close it too hard, it will crack the screen. It starts with a tiny crack, then over time, the crack turns into a black line, then the entire half screen turns black, then the whole screen turns black

I have flip 3 and after about a year of use the protective screen layer started to peel off from the folded middle part and luckily I was within 2 days of warranty ending and Samsung replaced it for free. The battery is pretty mediocre on these phones and the aspect ratio is odd for media like YouTube and Netflix and cut off a big portion if you do fit to screen.

This was $600 trade in for s24 ultra yesterday if I am not mistaken. I traded one in with the launch for $600 for sure.

Aside from the front cover screen, do you really need a screen protector? I assume the only time you'll drop it is in the folded orientation

It's waterproof but sand and dirt do a number on the hinge. I took mine to the beach in a plastic bag but still wound up messing it up.

I had the fold 2 or 3 and had it for about 8 months when it started to make that line in the fold. I knew it was going to get worse from there so I traded it in
