There were some negative comments about the quality on the previous post and just want to offe my .02. I had/have this in my samsung S20 phone. One day i was taking a video and saving to card and the app froze up and when i restarted the card became read only mode. I kept getting an error trying to save to the card and i can't delete anything on the card. No idea how to fix but if you have other options this may not be worth the hassle.

it was a "private label" for amazon so one else would be selling the Select cards. That may have changed, but you can always verify it. I bought this same card from Amazon a couple of months ago, but ended up not using it. I did test it though, and it's genuine.


BTW - make sure the card is inserted BEFORE you start the test. Doing it the other way around will come up saying it's "not genuine"!!!!!

Did you use the Samsung utility tool to test if it was genuine? Sounds like a bootleg. I had one that did something similar.

Yes. The one I bought was "shipped and sold by Amazon." From what I have heard, Amazon shares warehouse space with third party sellers that are "fulfilled by Amazon" and the inventory of fake and real cards gets mixed. You might get a real one, you might get a fake. It's a gamble.

How do I validate it if I have a MAC? That program seems to only work for PCs. Ugh

Thank you for this info, bought a 256gb on Amazon and showed as Genuine. Also got two 128gb Samsung Pro Plus from a return pallet and also are genuine.

At the moment, for this item, the statement about mixing stock/inventory is mostly hogwash.
  1. The only third party seller on this listing is not on prime and shipping on their own for this listing. Hence, Amazon is carrying no other seller inventory to be mixed up.
  2. Given that Amazon roughly do FIFO and volume they go thru, one would have to be incredibly unlucky to get remaining stock from a third party mixed up from their Amazon warehouse.
  3. If I recall correctly, Amazon is not supposed to inventory of items provided by authorized resales channels with ones that do not, due to warranty issues, and precisely to mitigate counterfeits... If other authorized resellers are prone to getting fakes into their stocks, your bets are all off elsewhere.

I have this in my Legion Go. I don't like it. It's too slow and sometimes stutter with games and movies. I think the Pro is necessary.
