Look, I appreciate you engaging but I've been designing battery charges for a long time.
you are misunderstanding the old school ways of setting charge modes and profiles for lead acid batteries. the charge mode and float mode are legacy methods associated with iron core transformers and liner voltage regulators when you needed to physically switch between current levels and voltage levels.
modern chargers current charge up to a taper voltage level then switch to constance voltage mode which is typically 13.5-13.8v. anyway I am sure your understanding is lost in semantic nuances. it's not your fault but I want to help people in the thread understand how it works enough to have the right perceptions.
I won't get into the chemistry but when you put an SLA cell above about 14 ish volts you start to dissociate hydrogen in the electrolyte. That is gas. SLA and LiFePO battery chemistries have different charging voltages. An SLA battery has a range from ~11.59-12.46v corresponding to 0% and 100% state of charge. A LiFePO battery's range however is ~10-14.6v.
The charger in a UPS is designed for SLA will cut off charging when the battery reaches 12.46v and shut off the UPS when the battery drops close to 11.59v. That means the LiFePO will never be full charged or discharged. So in that sense it's safe to use in a UPS.
However because it will keep the battery to SLA specs, you'll only be using approximately 23% of the battery's capacity. So that 10ah LiFePO will behave more like a 2.25ah SLA battery in the UPS.
Anyone use the 10Ah for their UPS? I read very mixed messages. Some say it works fine with BMS and others say it is a bad idea and lead acid is better for UPS. If it lasts more than twice as long as lead acid it might be worth it.

I've been using a Weize 10ah lifepo4 in an APC UPC for year and a half with no issues. I don't have more than 100w load on and the longest I've run it loaded was about 10 minutes so I don't know how long it will go before shutdown. The battery is rated at 10a continuous 20a peak, so 120watt load should be in theory what it can handle. I got tired of replacing the lead acid battery every 2 years, so if it makes it past that it will have paid for itself.
I also have a dual 10ah battery APC model that I'm considering trying a pair of these eco-worthy but I'm not sure how well these will work in series, ie. if there are any charge balancing issues.

Depends on your use case. Keep in mind a 10 Ah can only reliably supply 10 amps or 120 watts continuously. If your load is less than that you're okay, but if it's more the lead acid will be better.
The other thing is the UPS won't be able to reliably give you the % battery remaining because the LFP voltage curve is very flat.
Dang thats a great price for the 100ah one! I thought the Li Time Mini 100ah was good at $199 during Black Friday. Not sure how this brand compares to the Li Time though.

I got these the last time they were on sale and am currently using them in an APC Back UPS 600[apc.com]. I don't have them powering anything intense (just networking equipment). Out of curiosity, I tested the UPS with a 10W LED lamp - it ran for 4 hours and probably could've gone much longer; I just decided to stop the test. Definitely would get again for low power draw applications.
2 10Ah don't work in Cyberpower , the issue those can't power above 10A, based on what I got was below 8A due to built in small BMS. The BMS just disconnected from UPS at required power draw. Even at 50W usage UPS didn't work reliably.
If you can make 2 batteries UPS to work with those lifepo4, please share how to.

I have two 12v 10ah in series in both an APC smart UPS 1000 and a cyber power 1350va, both work fine. Both are powering loads less than 240w. I didn't do anything special, just dropped them in. Runs my cable model, router and NAS (about 45w) for about 4 hours. Capacity is less than rated since the SLA charger does not charge lifepo4 to their max capacity, but that is fine with me as long as they last twice as long as the SLA batteries I used to use
