I bought something similar (12v 10ah) for my kids power wheels type car. Wondering if I really need a 12v to 6v converter when I see all these YouTube videos of people putting their dewalt 20v max (or Milwaukee equivalent) to use as batteries instead
U don't. 12v isn't that fast on a powerwheel… if it was designed for 6v, just make sure u add some weight in case it is too light …. Putting 20v on a light body made for 6v would probably make it pop wheelies with a toddler riding, and not too safe unless u do other mods… but guessing 12v would be a fun upgrade for most smallest sized 6v power wheels

You've got parallel and series mixed up. Series is two 12v batteries with the + of one connected to the - of the other, to provide 24vdc. Because the same current goes through both batteries, the voltage of the batteries can vary depending on the capacity and condition (e.g., charge efficiency) of each. When they are connected in parallel, they both MUST be at the same voltage because the + and - terminals of one are connected to the + and - terminals of the other, repectively. This provides 12vdc. "Out of balance" means that they are at different voltages, and likely different states of charge.

Perhaps you are thinking of "top balancing" where you charge batteries in parallel to the same voltage and the connect them in series? In that coinfiguration you typically have a BMS with balancing circuits to maintain close to the same voltage on each battery or cell as they are charged in series.
Will the 50A continuous BMS double to 100A continuous if i wire 2x48v in parallel for a ***stock*** Yamaha golf cart?

Anybody have experience with this setup that can share wisdom , much appreciated.

Can a combination of these be used as a low voltage battery for Tesla?

What is everyone using these for?
I've got the 10ah in my kayak to power the fish finder. No issues after about 3 months of regular use.

That's a very good question. I have no experience with that, but my guess is that you could get an imbalance where one pack is delivering more current than the other. In that case, if you are drawing 90-100A, one pack would exceed the 50A limit. But BMSs usually have a surge limit that allow you to exceed the regular limit for a short period of time. How that is programmed varies between BMS and battery mfrs, so experience with one brand / model doesn't necessarily apply to others. In the case of a golf cart, that would happen when you're accelerating, so if you're not stomping on it for more than a short period of time, it could work.

Yes, someone else mentioned concern about sharing between the batteries. This will work fine as you are suggesting. They will share well because the internal impedance of the battery causes a negative feedback loop (if you think about controls theory (meaning as the current goes up the voltage drops slightly causing the other battery to take on more load, this goes back and forth and they will share in a stable way)). Obviously if the internal impedances are way off they won't share quite right but it's unlikely you'd ever get more than a few percent mismatch if you use the same batteries of the same age.

Thanks. It's the hills where the voltage increases dramatically. Flat ground running is fine for these… just debating on whether I can use these for future upgrades to my motor and controller or if I would need to pull the BMS and replace it if it is not additive

I almost bought the 100Ah one a few days ago when there was the 20% off Slickdeals coupon which was expired after I checked out other brands with better reviews. Now I am tempted to order this one.
Thanks, your statement really helped move this thread along.

I've been using a Weize 10ah lifepo4 in an APC UPC for year and a half with no issues. I don't have more than 100w load on and the longest I've run it loaded was about 10 minutes so I don't know how long it will go before shutdown. The battery is rated at 10a continuous 20a peak, so 120watt load should be in theory what it can handle. I got tired of replacing the lead acid battery every 2 years, so if it makes it past that it will have paid for itself.

I also have a dual 10ah battery APC model that I'm considering trying a pair of these eco-worthy but I'm not sure how well these will work in series, ie. if there are any charge balancing issues.
Can you give me a link to what you are talking about? The Weize fits inside your APC?

I use the 30Ah version on my kayak to power my Garmin 93sv full brightness after 8 hours battery was at 70%. Not bad.

Amazon hasn't had it in stock for awhile. Not sure if Weize will ever carry it again since they seem more targeting car sized 100ah lifepo4 batteries.

I bought it on recommendation of this youtube video

Yes, it fits in my APC. I think the APC manufacture part is RBC2.

Not if you want to start a gas engine. Old lead acid batteries are still best for pure cranking amps. However these lifepo4 batteries are great for medium to low draw 12v accessories.
