"Is this subwoofer enough to...?"
Yes.
"Will my neighbors?..."
Yes.

Let me sum up everything:
"Can I accidentally displace my house from its current foundation with this piece of audio equipment?"
....probably, yes.

A good friend has one. I desperately wanted one. I ended up getting an M-15 V2 (which I still absolutely love). This thing is a ****ing monster. There are very few subwoofers that can move the kind of air that this can, and all the rest of them are going to be a lot more expensive than this is.

This does not go on sale for a price like this very often.

Oh... and make sure that you have help to move it and unbox it. This sub is 171.6 lbs. I bet it's over 200 lbs boxed.
It will also come shipped to you FREIGHT, strapped to a wooden pallet.

I just point that out because a lot of people don't realize just how monstrous these things are. Be prepared.

Get some furniture dollys and a moving blanket or two so that you can (carefully) tip it onto its side on a dolly and move it around on wheels (after getting it unboxed). If you have to get it up/down stairs... I recommend furniture moving straps and a strong friend or two. Bribe them with pizza/steak and beer if you must.
One day I'm going to get one of these. Today is not that day, but one day.
It's perfectly fine, I have them on 20 amp circuits. They draw peak power for a fraction of a second, not like a space heater pulling constant current.

I already have duel SVS PB2000s.. is it possible to have too much? 🤔
If you plan on using these alongside the SVS subs, most people would recommend against doing so.

Why's this so much bigger than a 15" sub?

In the market for a sub to fill a large area, but servicing something this large/heavy makes me a bit wary. Wish Hsu/PSA/Rythmik had sales like these though.
PSA has outlet deals when subs become available (through trade-ins, etc) and also has pre-sales on new models with incredible savings (thats how I got my TV1813 - was less than this monoprice, but that was 1.5 yrs ago). Dont think Rythmik typically has sales. Every once in awhile Hsu has a sale or free shipping, but its usually not that big of a savings.

Hey! Thanks for info. The room is a fixed length of 15' give or take an inch. The width is yet to be determined.

The ceiling height is around 7'9". Volume will be around 1440cuft if I go with 12' wide.

Any sub you would prefer for a room that size? I currently have 1 Klipsch KW-12D that I use in a multi purpose theater space.

I have another new in the box in storage plus a HSU STF-2 that I was using before but got a killer deal on the Klipschs.
You can try what you have and see what you think, after all this is all subjective.

I run two SB3000's in a 11x17x9.5 dedicated HT with very good results.
People are often shocked when they find out they are sealed.

Matter of fact friend over recently helping with comparing Audyssey(Directional) and Dirac(DLBC).
Once again he commented can't get over that's sealed!

I would recommend running at least two sub cables to the back and long enough for side placement. This will give more versatility with placement in the future if needed.

Ok then! welcome to the world of Class-D amplification. Your comment leads me to believe that you also do not understand difference between RF and BlueTooth, and possibly a difference between Analog and Class-D amplification
My dentist took care of my bluetooth years ago with his RF remote controlled analog drill and class D switching power supply.

Thank you for asking.

All class D amplifiers are analog.

bullshit. This absolutely destroys svs shit out of the water for the money. I have had 4x M15 for 4 years. Flawless performance. 5 YEAR WARRANTY.
4 years means nothing. My 900 watt Bash amp died in 2021. I bought the sub in 2011. There was no replacement other than going external pro amp.
You cannot compare customer service between SVS and Monoprice.

The monoprice's are definitely High Value subs. I was looking at them seriously before I knew about Power Sound Audio (PSA). After a LOT of research (and some demos of fellow audiophile enthusiasts) I ended up going with a PSA TV1813 (18 inch ported beast). Its been my best electronics/audio purchase ever. Super happy with it. Puts a huge smile on my face when listening to 2-channel music or watching a movie with the family.
Im sure most would be very happy with this Mono 16, but keep PSA in mind as well (as well as Rhythmic).
The Monolith 16 is actually a 18 woofer depending on how you measure.

Please don't confuse him, the D = Digital 😉

I am building a new theater room, dedicated, and I need a subwoofer. I only have room for one as the room is kinda small. This is just tooooo much for the room.

Looking at the 12" instead or the HSU VTF. A little more manageable, but if you have the space and room height, this thing is a killer.
I have a 12" Outlaw Audio Sub and even with the volume down at 3.5 it's still powerful enough to make the floor vibrate during some movies in an open 13'x20' room.

I bet! That Outlaw sub is pretty amazing. They don't make it any longer right?

They still make an 8" and a 13", though the 13" is way more expensive than the 12" was 8 years ago.

I will add that their service and support is exceptional. My house got hit by lightning and fried my sub, which was long out of warranty. I called them and they offered to repair it for only $100 or so if I mailed the control board to them, walked me through removing the control board, and got it back to me within a week.

I recently bought a 12" version of these but I am having issues with it. It goes into this green and red flashing mode and doesn't produce sound. I have to do a hard restart to get to work again. It's been a hassle doing this for every use. The tech support wasn't able to help so far. Anyone had this issue and had luck resolving it?

Dealt with that issue for four years. It finally died and they're sending me another one. I have the 15" version 1. Try plugging it in to its own outlet not shared by anything. Or just leave it to on full time.
