This is just a plain stupid comment. Monoprice makes incredible subwoofers these days. Many rate them higher than SVS now.
I have 4x of the 15's and said the same when the M215 deal came out lol.
But these are just so beastly, I dont think I could even run 4x of these without running new breakers.

After building a DIY 18" sealed sub, honestly I think that is my upgrade path. 18" in a box smaller than a ported 15" that goes as low as I want and just setup a proper audio rack with all my amps.
Cool, I didn't like having standing walls anyway

I have two M-15's and a M-215. Do I "need" this?

I have one of these in a large basement home theater room with low (7ft) ceilings and it's way more than I can use. No way I could turn the gain on this all the way up. 2/3rds max so far and even that is too much on certain music tracks with extreme levels of sub bass.

This is an amazing price for an end game subwoofer, but you better have room for it and be single. There are other subs which will fit more seamlessly in a living room space and make your wife a lot happier than this monstrosity, but if you want to not just hear your bass but feel it, you can't really beat this for the money.

For something that hits hard and looks a lot sleeker I would go with the Goldenear SuperSub XXL or the Arandal 2V (or 2S if you want something smaller).

Stick with SVS. I would not trust a brand that makes cables lol

I prefer SVS to Monoprice but I have to disagree somewhat.

With certain preferences and for the cost they are a good choice.
I do agree their weak spot is their CS.

To be fair pretty much any brand in this price range is good.

Hey TattyBear, how did you get notified on this promo? Email? I'd like to know how I can get notified when monoprice runs discount codes for their subs, looking for a M12 V2 on sale.

I got one off of Amazon for $672 using their price tracking app (Keepa) with email alerts.

Please be aware the flashing red and green light amp issue has not been fixed or resolved. But on a good note. The customer service has improved greatly. Just an FYI if considering. A coworker has 2 of the monorprice 16. And one of the amp failed a couple of weeks ago. He's owned them for about 8 mo the now. Also keep the shipping box and material if possible. It will make things much easier down the road.

I have two of the 12's. I have encountered the flashing lights two times in the past 2 years. Unplugging them, waiting a few minutes, and then plugging them back in has "fixed" the problem. The problem appears to be associated with a power outage.

Yes, but it's not an "actual fix" but just a "temporary fix". I've also owned a Monoprice 15v2 that had the flashing lights after a few months of ownership. Unplugging it only worked the one time. Then it eventually died completely after a couple of more months.
