The rating on a circuit is designed for continuous loads. At very short durations the outlet can carry a lot more current than it's rated for, which is why subwoofers won't trip the outlet at peak power. I'm currently running a Monolith 15, an AVR w/ 5 speakers, a 65" TV, and a PS5 on a 15A circuit without any problems.

I just picked up two of these. These are better than filthy Rob's SVS SB-3000 subs. These compete with the PB 16 ULTRA. This is listed as a 16in, but by other manufacturers standards this is an 18"!

Customer service was superb. One of mine started doing the red/green blink indicating an issue with the amp. I had two of the 15's. Long story short, they're going to give me full credit for both subs and will apply it to the new pair of 16's. That's like SVS's trade-up program

That PSA sub is 2,299.99. I'm only paying $1,699 for these PLUS they gave me all of my credit back for my original 2 x 15in purchase so I'm only coming out of pocket like $1,000 for subs that normally go for $4,600 for two...the same price as the PSA (2,299.99) https://www.powersoundaudio.com/products/tv1813

That PSA FR = 14hz-150Hz Anechoic (+/-3dB)

That's pretty much what the 15in did in terms of FR.

The SVS PB16 is $2,899. This is a steal for $1,700 that will best it.

Hell of a deal!!! I pulled the trigger on an SVS PB-3000 two days ago to replace a 22 year old Velodyne HGS-18 whose amp just died on me. Had this deal been available then, I would've been all over this one, instead.

In todays market, nothing short of DIY can touch this for the price. Heck of a deal for anyone wanting sheer performance for the dollar. Now time to cue the complainers about customer service…

For that price did you happen to consider something from PSA?

Perhaps something like the TV1813.

The PSA TV1813 would blow the Mono15 out of the water. The B&C drivers on the PSA 13series subs are amazing. I own a TV1813M and it amazes me every day. Now the Mono16 is much much closer to the TV1813 and Id agree (as would the owner of PSA) that its probably the best value in subwoofers short of DIY (and even with DIY it would be close if you compare equal performance components and then not valuing the time it takes to assemble/finish). Long story short, The monos are great and so are the PSAs . This is a solid deal.

Yea I think in competition, this is supposed to go directly against and be comparable to the SVS PB 16 Ultra, which right now is $2,900, so the Mono 16 at $1,700 is crazy.

Svs has free returns for 45 days… I have two sb16s and love them (you could get those for the same price as the monolith
On one of their outlet sales), never tried the monoliths..

Noob question, normal house outlet is only 1500W, do you need special circuit for this sub? I'm only curious since 600W one I have right now is already more than what I need

3800+ Watt peak?? Do you need a dedicated 40A outlet for this sub?

20A would barely meet the RMS rating.

a little more than two 12" monolith at 500w each. two subs smooth out signal but I guess in this case it's better to go with one 16" at 2000w?

Better yet, one of these or 2 1000 watt dual 10" for the same price?

Is this overkill in a 10' x 10' room? 😅
