Saints Row is pretty ass. I would recommend this excessively long review video on it. I feel like it does a good job at summing up why the game is ass when judged by its own merit. It can be worth a play for some people, I am playing it, but I would not have paid more than $5 for it. https://youtu.be/_1co9RhqX6I

- It's much more of your standard RPG affair where you have to replace your level 1 armor with level 2 armor and so on.
- Ranged weapons do much more damage.
- You have three different stances. Forget what other games are like it but there's high, mid, and low stance. High is lower attack speed, high damage, low is high attack speed, low damage.
- You have two weapons equipped at all times as well.
- You have a transform move
- Parrying has some additional layers with such thing as burst counter.
- Health items aren't restored at "bonfires" and must be farmed
So for a fight you can use all of these systems if you want. That's the way you're meant to play the game but you can also have success by just running around with your one weapon in mid stance, never using burst counter, and only transforming as a oh fark button.

SR reboot was free on Epic or Amazon a month or so back. It is clearly not trying to be a sequel to SR 3 (or 4) yet is constantly being judged as one. Everyone wants a reboot to be exactly the same and completely 'fresh' at the same time. Can't have both.
Basically SR 2022 is similar to GTA V (while not taking itself seriously) yet focused much more on gunplay. Another decent comparison would be Just Cause 3, minus the absurdness.
Complaining about a bad game isn't what's hurting PC gaming(which isn't hurting btw, it's doing better then ever, been PC gaming for 20 years...). If anything bad games is what's hurting gaming in general, awful sequels that forget what made people love the older games in this particular series.
Plenty of good games nowadays also, I wouldnt waste my time finishing this game...go play cyberpunks expansion, now that was solid.
