The game was terrible, irrespective of certain fans' backlash. The game wouldn't get terrible or middling reviews if it wasn't a mediocre game.

Might be obvious, but do HB let you know what's they're giving away before charging you each month?
I am pretty sure they don't. That is why I cancel my membership and wait to see what games they have before reupping

Wait until you hear about https://gg.deals, best place I've found to get games. They have prices for a lot of the official shops and a lot of key shops.

Yes. The first Tuesday of each month the new games are revealed. If you are on a paused subscription, you will be unpaused at this point. You have until roughly the last week of the month to pause/cancel. If you don't, you will be charged for the bundle.

If you aren't on a subscription, you can choose whether or not to purchase up until the last day.

Afterimage hiding down there on the list. Great game. This is a decent bundle.
Yup. That was on my wishlist in case I found it cheap again. Even Black Skylands and the U-boat game looks like something I'd enjoy. I normally wait until they charge my card, but I smashed that button as soon as I could

That's not how this works. They don't charge you until the end of the month unless you choose to get the games early. You have 3+ weeks to determine if you want to pay for the games or skip the month.

Anyone interested in Nioh 2, make sure you understand what kind of game you're getting into. It's pretty far from your standard soulslike and you may be get put off by it.

Saints Row is pretty ass. I would recommend this excessively long review video on it. I feel like it does a good job at summing up why the game is ass when judged by its own merit. It can be worth a play for some people, I am playing it, but I would not have paid more than $5 for it. https://youtu.be/_1co9RhqX6I
Could you elaborate on why Nioh 2 violates expectations?

Haven't played Nioh 2 in a while so I can't say for certain anymore. Also didn't delve into it as deep as the demon souls to elden ring. Here's some that I remember (that may be wrong)
- It's much more of your standard RPG affair where you have to replace your level 1 armor with level 2 armor and so on.
- Ranged weapons do much more damage.
- You have three different stances. Forget what other games are like it but there's high, mid, and low stance. High is lower attack speed, high damage, low is high attack speed, low damage.
- You have two weapons equipped at all times as well.
- You have a transform move
- Parrying has some additional layers with such thing as burst counter.
- Health items aren't restored at "bonfires" and must be farmed

So for a fight you can use all of these systems if you want. That's the way you're meant to play the game but you can also have success by just running around with your one weapon in mid stance, never using burst counter, and only transforming as a oh fark button.

Saints Row makes this not worth it. If it was just the other 7 games it would be an excellent deal. But Saints Row is so terrible that it drastically lowers the overall value of the package and makes it a bad deal.

Wow, I've had Humble Choice for years. They, until now, only gave very positive and overwhelmingly positive games. Thia month, two games with mixed reviews 60/100 range. Disappointing and much lower value

It's not bad at all but not going to win any awards either. The game was crushed by the modern reddit review bombing trend though. These kids have no idea how much they are damaging PC gaming as a whole.

SR reboot was free on Epic or Amazon a month or so back. It is clearly not trying to be a sequel to SR 3 (or 4) yet is constantly being judged as one. Everyone wants a reboot to be exactly the same and completely 'fresh' at the same time. Can't have both.

Basically SR 2022 is similar to GTA V (while not taking itself seriously) yet focused much more on gunplay. Another decent comparison would be Just Cause 3, minus the absurdness.
Huh...I'm in my mid 30s, bought it on release, nothing like GTA5 at all, it just wasn't a good game man, if anything more kids liked it then adults who grew up with the series...is gave it a fair shot, it just was bad, the shooting was bad, the story wasn't good(or funny), and the map felt dead, it was a boring game, should never be compared to a rockstar game, that's insulting to them imo.

Complaining about a bad game isn't what's hurting PC gaming(which isn't hurting btw, it's doing better then ever, been PC gaming for 20 years...). If anything bad games is what's hurting gaming in general, awful sequels that forget what made people love the older games in this particular series.

Plenty of good games nowadays also, I wouldnt waste my time finishing this game...go play cyberpunks expansion, now that was solid.
