As long as you don't mind a blanket made of plastic, it's fine. I've been trying to replace as much of my daily use plastic as possible with natural products. (Sheets, pillows, pillowcases, blankets, plates, bowls, etc.) It's actually quite a hard task to accomplish.
It's commendable that you are aware of the plastic issue and attempting to stop further use of it but I have a question... Please do not bite my head off as I am legitimately interested in the answer and not trying to be a troll at all. But if you are replacing all of your plastic products aren't you adding to the problem of plastic waste? I mean, you should try to get as much use as possible out of whatever products you have now and only replace when necessary IMO. AITA for thinking that? Or am I missing something? Sorry, I just had to ask. Have a blessed day

Might not have anything to do with the environment and more of a personal health concern. You can try Googling search terms such as microplastic and leeching if you feel the need to deep dive further into the rabbit hole.

I keep buying these blanket, bedsheets cuz of SD effect… only so much i can keep shoving in the closet hoping wifey won't notice.
We have gotten the Berkshire ones in this capacity. I think our family of four now has 6 of them? Our kids with twin sized beds both have queen size because they were on sale for the same as a twin and who ever complained about having "too much blanket" 😂 I think we have one more queen and three king size.

Lol I can care less, all my blankets and 90% of my clothes are are polyester. They last longer than paper and hair Smilie. My socks are dominantly wool though along with some base layers.

How do these hold up after many washings? I've had 4 Sherpa blankets and it usually clumps.

Wash cold and low heat dry.

As long as its soft, fuzzy, comfortable, and doesn't fall apart after a couple uses, I don't care if its made with barbed wire. Not that that would be possible but you get the gist.

Do you recommend these for a blanket fort? And how many would you need?

I'm maybe thinking 1 for the top, 4 for the sides, 1 for the floor and 1 to hug per person.
Good lord, you'd buy 5 blankets just to build a blanket fort? I thought you were supposed to have fun just using whatever you had on hand, and just kinda figure it out as you go. To each their own, I guess. BTW, these are pretty big.

Knives, blankets, and flashlights. I might need to buy a storage shed dedicated to these items.
Can I visit and hang in the shed?

I just picked one up in store. We've all seen a million cheap polyester blankets, but these are actually really nice for $10, very soft and pretty heavy. Certainly not a $40 blanket, but great for $10. I think I'll order another one online for when a big blanket is called for on the couch.
